We live in a modern log cabin on 10 acres of hilly, mostly wooded land, in a sparsely populated area, surprisingly close to town. We have playground equipment, free range birds, some wildlife, a pond, and a long paved driveway. We are accustomed to having one or two parties camping on our property through various arrangements, doing either tent camping or RVs. More pictures of our place can be found at https://photos.app.goo.gl/9osqfpEzwhup8wvP7 Suggested Local Attractions:Silver Lake is a beautiful park with large still lake right down the road, Winery at La Grange is very nearby as well. We have a Cabelas store nearby! We are just several miles outside of the town of haymarket, and a larger town Gainesville is not much further away

Location

Access Road Conditions: The road to our property is mostly gravel road on hilly terrain that is easily accessible to all vehicles, rain or shine. We have several parking spots on our property, some easier to get to than others depending on vehicle size and the wetness of the ground. 1. Side of main driveway - No hookups, not quite level, easy to get to, rain or shine. 2. Edge of paved parking area, close to house - Hookups, no turnaround, back-in 100' winding paved driveway, short piece uphill. 3. Hilly Meadow 125' from house - hookups. When ground is dry, all vehicles can drive straight in and turn around loop on grassy hillside. When ground is wet, campers most likely have to be backed in a considerable distance, 100' on winding paved driveway with a short piece uphill, then 100' more on winding, gravel, hilly, somewhat narrow road. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Depending on exactly where we park you, there may be option to leave towing vehicle attached, or park it in one of a number of locations nearby camper.

Nature-loving homebody, family man, enjoys hobby farming, and self-sufficiency Details: Hard working in career, home and hobbies that I pursue to mostly practical ends. Enjoy being home, having family around, and making home a wonderful place to be. I dont make the kind of time for social life that most people seem to do, but I have come to enjoy meeting and helping out campers that rent a site from us through more of a rental service, so I thought I'd try offering lodging through this arrangement since we are well situated for it. I enjoy discussing interests and concerns Home Town: Haymarket, VA Favorite Boondocking Locations: I'm new to this and only know about the site that I offer Skills or Expertise to Share: camping, gardening, light homesteading, sustainable living, self sufficiency, software/IT, home improvement, diy

Top notch hosts. Assisted in getting me backed in and anything else I needed. Great T-Mo service as well as wifi, which I didn't try. Picnic table and a fire pit were a plus. $5 for 30 amp electric and water. You can also scavage for firewood or purchase some quality wood from the hosts. This was my first Boondockers Welcome stay and it exceeded my expectations.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with Bobby & I. Beautiful site with 30amp service, water and a fire ring. We had no problems following our hosts very thorough directions, although I did put the Tacoma down in low gear and just proceeded very slowly. Our hosts met us at the house and escorted us to the campsite. Maui the gentle giant was delightful company. This location was perfect for out Casita. We'll be returning for sure.

This host and site are not to be missed. It's a beautiful area that is made for camping. I've never been to a host where the site was more private and designed for camping. The host met me and spent a lot of time showing me the site and helping me turn around my trailer for a easy exit the next morning. They have an incredibly friendly dog that I was very happy that he felt comfortable hanging out with me for so much time. What a great spot and host.

Ken is a great host, helped us back our 30' Class C into a quiet spot on a hill. Water and 30A was nice. There are roosters; I'll leave that for you to decide if that's a plus or minus. They're cooped until mid morning away from the camp site. There is a very cool winery and very cool brewery within a 20 minute drive. Both allow dogs. Nice regional park for paddling and Bull Run Battlefield for hiking and history. Overall a nice place. UNHOOK your tow vehicle at the beginning of Duck Road! Maui the poultry guard dog is a pleasant fellow. He and our old dog got along well.

Ken greeted us and helped us get settled in. The property is gorgeous and it feels like you you are in the middle of nowhere, yet you are minutes from amenities. Highly recommend!
