Part time travelers Details: I am retired and my wife works virtually from home. We are both educators and love traveling and meeting new people. I love to work on hot-rods and my wife is a quilter. Home Town: Small town in Central Florida- we are centrally located between Ft. Meade, Frostproof and Lake Wales. About 15-20 mins. from each. We are about 60 mins.from Disney, Bush Gardens and Sea World and about 30 mins. from Legoland. We are definitely off the beaten path- but in a nice, quiet location on the Lake. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Not Yet Skills or Expertise to Share: I am pretty mechanical and if you like to sew or quilt my wife can share her knowledge.

Just a quick overnight for us but we were welcomed by the host. The added bonus was my husband spent time fishing while I was able to snag some material for a quilt in their quilt store!

What a great nights sleep we got here! A pretty, “off the beaten path” drive in central FL seeing farmland, orange groves, cattle ranches brings you to Shorewood. We sat on the dock to watch the sunset and having parked on level area under the giant live oaks, “slept like a baby”!

The pictures on the site do not show the real location. The site is an open area over one acre overlooking a lake.it has large oaks with for shade and fantastic sun sets and sun rises Added to that are great hosts who share their property to include a boat dock with chairs and a swing under a tree. Both with views of the lake . In additionthe ride in is through orange groves.
