My wife and I like to travel and explore new places. We have crossed the country from WA state to FL many times, taking a different route, avoiding interstates and big cities each time. So much to see in small town America. Recently moved from Florida to Arizona in the winter and Idaho in the summer.

I spent 2 nights at Silver Valley Stopover . It is the perfect spot to explore the rich history of an old west mining town . It has retained its small town charm . lots to see and do here great eateries and pubs . There are mine tours railroad museum a bordello tour and much more . The hosts were exceptional with information and very helpful getting situated on the spot . Its in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. My stay was 5 stars !

Stayed two days at the Silver Valley Stopover. As stated, you are parked close to a busy road thus the requirement of keeping dogs leased. Road becomes quiet in the evening allowing a good night sleep. We took the 10 minute walk under the bridge to downtown Wallace for dinner at one of the local bars. The city of Wallace kept the freeway from destroying their town by placing the entire town on the historic register. Also rode side by side from the property thru many of the trails. Hosts provided lots of good advice as well as maps. Will definitely be back.
