Our home is in a small St. Croix River community, 18 minutes from St. Paul and 31 minutes from Minneapolis, MN. We can offer a spot to explore the quaint, old river communities north and south of I-94 or quiet place to come back and rest after exploring the Twin Cities. I am excited to be able to host after having been hosted at so many wonderful properties in the past years! Unfortunately, I am going to limit the size for awhile as after only the second guest, my neighbors made a big deal about me hosting. So to get them use to seeing rigs in our drive, I am limiting the space to Class B, B+ and truck campers.

Solo Jeweler on roads less traveled Details: My name is Catherine and I just recently lost my co-pilot Sitka, my Swiss shepherd. I will miss his companionship. 2019 was my first year traveling without him. Have to get use to traveling alone. The hubby decided this on the road travel isn't for him; however, he might accompany me on a short weekend trip. I am retired teacher living in Cape Coral, Florida. I have worked with high school students in all areas of social justice and now more than ever I need to find safe places to be. Boondockers Welcome has been a wonderful resource while out on the road. Sitka and I use to head out for months at a time to escape the heat of SoFlo. I took my first solo trip the fall of 2016 to escape the oppressive heat and headed into the Blue Ridge Mountains. I drove the Eastern Seaboard and Outer Banks back to SoFlo. It was 32 days of wonder and bliss. 2017 took us to Wyoming and 2018 we were back in the eastern mountains. In 2019 my 10 year old grand daughter hit the road with me for part of the time, what an adventure we had. 2020 was crazy, right?! I had 2 trips get cancelled. But, I made it to the Mighty 5 in October. 2021 has me fully vaccinated and continuing covid safety practices, I will be taking my grandson on Route 66 End to End. I look forward to meeting wonderful new folks and finding community all along the road. Home Town: Living now in Cape Coral, Florida on the gulf side. So far we are fortunate enough to be able to park our "van" in our driveway. But unfortunately, we can't offer space as hosts. We do have a fabulous guest room and if passing through you may be able park in the field across from us and stay in our home. Favorite Boondocking Locations: I love travelling period! Ok, that's an exclamation mark.... I almost never travel interstate and the rural highways and bi-ways are my heartbeat. I had a travel trailer before the class B and spent 3 months in New Mexico traveling Route 66 back to Duluth, MN. We have since transplanted ourselves to Southern Florida. Skills or Expertise to Share: Retired teacher and now jeweler. I often take my wares on the road with me.

We loved this place. The location is a beautiful, quiet spot close to I-94. Easy parking with 30 amp electric and very friendly and helpful hosts. If I could I would give it 10 stars!

Beautiful place! Nice, open, level, paved spot in their large, wide driveway, actually a few options for parking. The property is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. They were very accommodating with us changing our arrival a couple times. Had a nice evening relaxing around the fire pit and swapping travel stories. Catherine even shared some delicious cookies that she baked with her grandkids.😊 Offered us a 30 amp hookup, but we didn’t need it. The weather was nice, and there were no bugs😊 Great location to access towns along the St Croix river or an easy drive into Minneapolis and St. Paul
