We live in the mountains, so expect a twisty and narrow road (paved) up to our house. We have a firm, grassy area to park with no near neighbors and in a private neighborhood. Dogs on leash are fine and there is a small lake to walk around with great scenery. Long towed trailers or RVs with long rear overhang should avoid as driveway transitions steeply. Suggested Local Attractions:Biltimore House, Asheville, breweries (esp. Sierra Nevada), Dupont State Forest, Pisgah Nat Forest
Vehicle Suitability Information
Generators Allowed
Separate Tow Vehicle Parking
Wifi
Slideouts Allowed
House Rules
Quiet after 9 and all the typical rules of being a great neighbor. Please do not leave food or drippings as our pugs will find it immediately and pig out. We no longer allow pets, our pugs are too weird around stranger pets, so sorry.
Location
Access Road Conditions: Tight and steep turn into driveway that limits length of vehicle and requires removing towed vehicles. I can make it easily with a 24' Class C towing a 12' trailer, but a crew cab truck towing a 16' trailer would probably have issues.

Lifelong RVer, motorcyclist, skier, Mt biker and boondocker Details: We live in Western, NC in the beautiful Asheville area. We are originally from New England, but have traveled the world by plane and much of the US by RV. Because we work form home, we have been able to travel in our RV while working as long as we found wifi. Technology is great when it works for you! We have two pugs that go everywhere with us, Cinder and Bella. We have had every kind of RV over about 40 years including several tour buses, fifth wheels, and even a Barth motorhome (pretty rare). We now travel in a Mercedes Class C which has really opened up the ability to boondock in more remote areas. We usually tow either a Jeep Wrangler or a 12' enclosed trailer that can carry a BMW motorcycle, two Mt bikes and two rode bikes (including lots of gear and tools. Looking forward to retirement soon, but have managed three cross country tours in the Mercedes over 4 years now. We love great people and have a large friend base locally and afar. Home Town: Hendersonville, NC Favorite Boondocking Locations: Edge of the Grand Canyon, Rockies of BC, Maine Coast, state parks anywhere, Bella-Vista winery, Crystal River, Fl.....and many more. Skills or Expertise to Share: I'm a business guy who has built tour buses into RVs, built custom motorcycles, raced cars and owned lots of properties. My wife is a business gal in agriculture. I would say we are pretty schooled in the McGyvering solutions to just about anything. We are avid cyclists, motorcyclists, skiers and have 6 kids (3 G-kids) between us.

We stayed one night and enjoyed walks around the lake and the quiet of the neighborhood. Cinder and Bella were wonderful hosts and communicated clearly with us. It's a windy road up the mountain but our class b handled it well.

Friendly, gracious host in a beautiful location. The parking area was large with plenty of room for two large dogs to run. Highly recommend this host and location.

An absolute gem of a place, people and doggies. So welcoming and the view is spectacular. We all walked around the lake and all the doggies enjoyed the stroll together. I would most definitely stay again. Thank you!

Our travel day began at 4:30 am and it was a rough day and made it to their home later than we had hoped (I did message them) however when we arrived Corey was there to greet us with a smile and guide us into our parking area. He also told us to ask him any questions that we might have as he is a very experienced RV’er and he also offered to help us in any way he could. We felt comforted by this as we arrived just before dark and we had just picked up our “new to us” Class C RV and had no prior experience owning a motorized RV...only campers and longer travel trailers. As we settled in for the night Corey called our cellphone and asked us if he could help us with anything as the NC weather temps were dropping quickly. He did suggest something we had not thought about reference our heating system that worked out great. The next morning we awoke and walked around their beautiful lake a few times and took in all the glory of such a scenic area of the mountains and their tranquil neighborhood. Corey let us top off our fresh water supply...I asked him a lot more questions about boondocking...RV’s...maintenance etc and he answered them all and gave us great advice that we not only will use but we will pass along in the future once we are well versed and are expert level like Corey. A huge bonus are Cinder and Bella....the cutest PUPS!!!! I would love to visit the host again just to play with these two amazing fur babies. This was an amazing first BW stay for us and we would love to stay again when we have more time to really get to know this amazing couple (the human ones too) 😊
