We have a hobby farm with small animals such as guineas and chickens. Use to have goats and ducks but have been downsizing over the last couple of years. We have over 40 pecan trees, a stocked pond and woods in the back of the property. Very peaceful with great neighbors. We absolutely love dogs but have a working Great Pyrenees so he considers strange animals on the property a threat to the livestock so pets can be an issue. We are happy to discuss exceptions with proper notice and the ability to ensure everything is safe for any pets. Suggested Local Attractions:We are 30 minutes from Lake Texoma and about 45 minutes to the Choctaw Casino in OK. Also about a hour north of the Dallas area.

My wife and I live on a small farm and are like Green Acres in reverse. Details: I am retired and my wife is semi-retired. She does two farmer's markets a week during the season. We love to RV and ATV. We love animals, meeting new people and traveling around our beautiful country. Home Town: My wife in from Paris, TX and a country girl. I am the city boy living on in the country now. We do love our farm and love to come back to it after a trip in our RV. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Almost anywhere in the west. Love Quartzsite, Utah and Colorado almost anywhere out west. BLM land. Skills or Expertise to Share: My wife is a great cook, gardener and outstanding hairdresser. I am not real mechanically inclined so she helps me there as well.

It was great visiting with them, and the cake and snacks they made us were outstanding! A must stay location if you are passing through Sherman. A big thank you to the hosts for having us, we hope to pass through again.

This was our first stay with Boondockers Welcome and we couldn’t have been more pleased! They greeted us at the gate and helped us get in our spot. We hooked up to 30 amps no problem! They baked us cinnamon bread which was delicious and offered for us to sit around the campfire with them. They were so friendly and we enjoyed getting to know them more with friendly conversation. In the morning they took my kids out on a short golf cart ride and collected fresh fruit from their trees. After we pulled away my kids exclaimed “they were so nice!” We would def stay here again!
