Life time native of Hayward WI who loves the outdoors. Details: Hi my name is Dennis and I have been recently widowed after 26 amazing years of marriage. I love doing everything outdoors and prefer to visit paces that offer good hiking or Mountain bike trails along with some unique restaurant options. A good coffee, pie or ice cream shop seal the deal for me. I love to host people and show them all the wonderful things our community has to offer. Home Town: I love taking in all the north woods of Wisconsin has to offer. Mountain biking the CAMBA trials, hiking the vast public forests, canoeing, kayaking or tubing the Namekagon National Scenic Riverway, boating or fishing the abundance of amazing lakes and of course dining out at one of our many unique restaurants. I am a business owner and frequent volunteer for many of our world class events that Hayward host each year like the Annual Musky Festival, Lumberjack World Championships, Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, Birkie Trail Run Festival, Fall Fest or the The American Birkebeiner. Favorite Boondocking Locations: I will let you know after I try a few. Skills or Expertise to Share: Good guide to the Hayward area attractions, trails, lakes and eating establishments. Entrepreneur and business owner in the area for over 40 years.

We were notified when submitting our request that the site was not available for one of our requested days, but there was another site next to the shop that was available and it only had electric but was more private. Yes, please! It was a great site and even had a picnic table and a grassy spot next to the rv. We really enjoyed our 2 days there and our host was very accomodating with area information and recommendations. We would absolutely stay again when in the area!

Our overnight stay at Smith Farm Northwoods Retreat was perfect. The location and grounds are beautiful and so very relaxing. Parking made setup fast and easy, giving us time to relax around the fire pit and rest up for the next day's drive. My only regret? That we didn't have time to stay longer.
