We are located in southeast NC, approximately 15-20 miles from area beaches. Our location is very "country" with lots of wildlife (deer, fox, rabbits, birds, etc...) roaming about. It is very quiet in the evenings and overnight. We have recently added a crushed granite parking pad, along with enlarged stone paver patio for the campsite and provide a picnic table too. We have a fire pit and when able we would be happy to host a night around the fire. We are pet friendly but request that dogs be on a leash or tie-out. We expect guests to pickup pet "litter". Suggested Local Attractions: Local Atlantic Ocean beaches are Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, Sunset Beach (15-20 miles away with public access at each beach). We are also located approximately 45 miles from Wilmington, NC and 40 miles from Myrtle Beach, SC

Location
Access Road Conditions: Our 3.5 acre property is flat and well drained (under most circumstances) but we have a gravel driveway with a somewhat narrow access with the paved state road that serves our property. Longer RVs may have some concerns with making the 90 degree turn off the pavement to our drive. However, once on the property we have ample room for smaller rigs to pull into the gravel parking area and pull-through on departure (turning left to return to the driveway). Tow Vehicle Parking Details: After disconnecting tow vehicle you can park "behind" your trailer in the loop around the pine tree with the Little Library. There is plenty of space to park.

Proud Grandparents Details: My wife, Monnie and I have been blessed to share our eternal lives with one-another. Many years ago we learned that we cannot wait to "live our lives" when we reach "retirement" so we enjoy each day to the fullest. Some friends couldn't understand when we moved to southeast NC without any plan for our future. We are just happy to be alive each and every day that we are here. Home Town: Southeastern NC. We call our 3.5 acres of flat, well-drained land Someday Lane because someday all our dreams are going to come true. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We tend to be State Park guests with water and electric. Have stayed at many in NC and SC. Probably our favorite is the site we host: Someday Lane. Skills or Expertise to Share: I (Greg) am a former small business owner who now has a day job and my wife (Monnie) is an Appointment Specialist at a Spa. She loves to cook, bake, and crochet. Our lives are not perfect and we are completely comfortable in our humanity. We enjoy people (even though I like to tell too many stories) and are considered very friendly.

We stopped here for 5 days while traveling. Greg is wonderful, a great host with great conversation. We got into his "pull through" site no problem. Electric was available (and it was very humid for us desert folks)- and it was very convenient! Amenities nearby are plentiful; Walmart, car wash, restaurants, etc- about 7 miles away. Off the beaten path, so nice and quiet at night. The only thing that wasn't great and not the hosts fault was the road coming in- extremely narrow- so just prep yourself if you need to before driving it.

If you are looking for a place to relax, enjoy the stars, and have easy beach access - this is your spot. The hosts provide a gravel parking pad and picnic table (some state campsites arent this nice!), and welcomed us to join them around the fire pit one evening. Sunset Beach is an easy drive and one of the nicest beaches we visited along the Atlantic Coast. If you get a chance to stay, make sure you take in the stars on a clear night! We hope to visit again!
