Minutes from highways 87, 85 and 101. We are walking distance to the VTA light rail and connections with Caltrans to San Francisco and Amtrak trains. We can help you find the express trains that run to 49ers games The tree shades the space from 1pm onward through November. Once the tree loses its leaves you will have morning sun from the east & south to help recharge your solar HOWEVER without the leaves bird droppings happen. SHOPPING: 2 miles away is a large regional Mall, called Oakridge Mall. It is surrounded the usual franchise stores. Our grocery stores are Safeway, Lucky, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Costco and Sprouts (the last is our favorite grocery store) . Also, a small Indian Grocery store with fresh produce and a large frozen food section. We have a nearby In-and-Out Burger! The closest Costco does *NOT* have gas pumps. There are several Amazon Lockers available for receiving shipments. The FedX office is nearby and Walgreens will receive some shipments. The closest Farmers Market is Sunday morning at the NE corner of the Oakridge Mall A short walk down the street we have some fast food, a breakfast place called Mimosa's (check Yelp for their signature drink, its insane) and a bakery. Walking distance are three small shaded parks with benches and playgrounds. No Dog park but locals gather, with dogs off leash, at two of these parks. Exceptional Wine Tasting is nearby in Los Gatos, Saratoga, Morgan Hill and Gilroy. There are many museums: Intel Museum, Computer History Museum among others.

*We have 45 feet of available space. Tow/towed vehicles will need to be detached and parked down the block. *Try to arrive before 8pm *No lawn chairs set up on the sidewalk/road *Passenger-side slide out only *Quiet time after 10pm *Stay length limited to 3 nights *I am offering this site to people passing through, NO LOCALS! *No loud voices, no arguments. Zero tolerance! This is PUBLIC STREET PARKING in a very quiet neighborhood. BE ADVISED: secure your belongings on the outside of your rig as you would in any public space. We can store bicycles, generators etc in the garage while you are away from your camper This is a safe neighborhood but it is the the 9th largest city in the US (Fun Fact!) with a large homeless population (nearby at times). The entire San Francisco Bay Area struggles with opportunistic crime like package theft and things gone missing from inside, on-top-of and from-the-back of cars, trucks and work-trucks/vans. My Facebook, Nextdoor and Ring doorbell community share stories and I am passing this on to you.
Location
Newly paved road in average suburban neighborhood. Road is slopes toward the gutter. The tree will determine where you park, please try to stay within my property lines. Tow/Towed Vehicle Parking is on the street but may need to be detached from the RV/camper and parked in front of neighbors depending on the location of your slides and height of camper in relation to the tree trunk and branches.

Hi! We are campers and also host two sites here on BW/HH. My wife is a member of two camping groups and often travels solo. We also use HipCamp (private property camping). We aren't into the campground experience. Activities like kayak camping, backpacking and Scouting, as kids and again as parents, taught us to travel light (and drilled into us the principles of Leave No Trace and leave-a-site-better-than-you-found-it). Our rig is a truck camper and it is tight quartersf but lets us get out there off-road and off-grid. It is in California at the present. Beth hopes to head to Alaska in 2023 with Greg flying in for a week each month doing remote work-from-home. We can’t wait to see what happens next and hope to see you out there!

We stayed three nights with Greg and Beth. Beth was out of town but communicated very clearly in messages, and Greg was so kind and helped set us up in 5 minutes. He even let us top off our battery since the spot is in the shade and our solar was only trickling in 20 watts. We were so grateful for being approved for this spot after another fell through last minute. The neighborhood is clean, safe and quiet. Barely any cars went by. Convenient to everything in the Bay Area.

Greg and his partner were so welcoming. Greg got us all set up in 5 minutes and was so helpful in letting us top off our battery. This is a street spot but couldn't be more comfortable. Though the shady spot meant no solar, and the temperature reaching over 80, we were still cool with no AC on. Barely any cars drove by and it was quieter than many of the campgrounds we have gone to. Kudos to Greg for accepting our last minute request made in a pinch!

Easy to park and on a quiet and accessible residential street. Host was friendly and communicated well. Good quick stopover on our way through San Jose!
