Location

Access Road Conditions: Gravel road about 1/2 mile, gravel drive with slight incline sharp turn into drive, an experienced driver can negotiate the turn no problem. Four wheel truck helpful, motor homes no problem. Some small branches may swipe side of rig I have not had an issue with my 26 foot pull behind. Some locations are not level but only by a small amount, can be corrected with a couple boards. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: When turning into drive pulling a car with all wheels down, because of the gravel, the front wheels may not turn to follow the coach, I had that issue when I had a motor home pulling a dingy. Space and room to turn a rig around once on the property. Trailers more than 32' might not be able to make the turn into the drive. Motorhomes should not have a problem. If there is an issue entering the drive, turn around at end of Winston Rd. and approach from other direction. Once on the property past the gate there is ample space to turn around.

I live on 3 wooded acresnear Deleon Springs State Park. Details: I enjoy a quiet, peaceful, simple life. Semi retired single man and am very comfortable with all types of people. I enjoy traveling with my dog Zoey in my 26' Rockwood trailer, especially the music festivals at the Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak FL. Home Town: Deland is a small charming town with Stetson University in the center of town, a very active downtown with many restaurants with sidewalk dining and bars with live music. The area is known for its many natural crystal clear springs in the area. Favorite Boondocking Locations: About 35 years ago I parked in San Diego at a park on the bay near Mission Bay. Skills or Expertise to Share: Gardening, tinkering with machinery.

Scott is extremely friendly and helpful. His property is really beautiful and just a mile or so from a very nice nature preserve. Scott's property is slightly out of the way and mildly tricky to get to, but that's part of the reason that this is such a nice place. The RV parking is fine - he has a few sites; there's a slight grade but he knows just where to park and it's not too much to level your rig. All in all, a wonderful stay and a truly pleasant host.

Beautiful area with trees and sunshine. Our host was wonderful, with excellent communication. He has a really nice property. We had no problem following his directions, and with our small camper, it was easy. The electric was ready for us, which was a real plus, as it was cold last night. Very nice stay. Thank you!

Off the beaten path and very private yet accessible to services such as shopping and downtown Deland with restaurants. We had a great lunch at Half Wall and dessert at a home made candy and ice cream shop in Deland. Scott is a warm and welcoming host.

Scott was delightful and informative. We had to leave a night early due to needing hook ups suddenly. Thank you for your hospitality! Super peaceful spot.

Scott is a true southern gentlemen and will do whatever he can to make your stay the best it can be! His location is exactly what I needed to catch up on rest, as well as get caught up on business issues. Thank you again Scott for allowing me to stay and your flexibility in the nights that I stayed! Looking forward to meeting up again!
