The host was very accomodating and gave us a tour of the sugar shack and provided great information on the maple sap to syrup conversion process. Very quiet night and enjoyed walking the paths all over the property.

Sugar Shack was the perfect stopover on our way back west. Irené was such a gracious host and took time from his day to show us their maple syrup business and it’s process. The property is beautiful and the walls through the many trails were awesome in the fall colours. Thanks Irené et Murielle. Art and Arnold, Victoria, BC @destination_asquared

Definitely one of the best spots I've been to. Friendly, helpful, informative host. Nice walk on the trail through with sugar bush with my dog

So lovely and peaceful!!! Patricia gave us the choice of staying at her house or at a maple sugar shack. We chose the maple shack. Patricia met us at the main road to bring us in. The road to the maple shack is walking distance from the main road. When we drove in, we knew we made the right choice by choosing it. What a lovely little oasis!!! We parked in front of the cabin, on flat land. Patricia came back just over an hour later and gave us a tour of the sugar shack, as well as a well explained description on how maple syrup is made at their spot. She was very clear and knowledgeable. She also brought us some fresh eggs from the chickens at her place. Later on, her brother and his granddaughter made their way over because we wanted to buy some syrup. He took the time to show us a few things that Patricia had not showed us. Everyone was so friendly and kind! Right beside the cabin, beside where we were parked, there is a little pond with bullfrogs that we could hear. We sat out there in the evening and listened to them. So, so peaceful! On the other side of the camper, there is the maple tree forest with several trails to walk in. It was just gorgeous. One of the trails brings you to the main road. We walked through it a number of times during our one day stay. We loved our stay with Patricia and cannot recommend it enough! Thank you, Patricia for your amazing hospitality!! Merci, merci! On espère y retourner un jour.

We really enjoyed our stay. The pond had frogs lulled us to sleep 😉. Our tour was great and Irene was so enthusiastic. It was such a lovely time.
