We have a simple cottage on a small pond in northeastern CT with a large yard where you could park a small camper. We are located 12 miles from the University of CT. The area is very rural with lots of hiking trails. We have a couple of kayaks and a paddle boat you could use to explore the pond.

We are at the end of a 300ft gravel driveway. Parking is on the grassy lawn with space to turn around. There is a separate gravel area for parking your tow vehicle.

I grew up in Eastford, CT, and love this rural corner of CT. My husband Wayne is partially retired and we just bought our first travel trailer. We enjoy hiking, biking, and kayaking. I especially enjoy photographing nature and grandchildren. Years ago we did some couch surfing and really enjoyed the people we met. This seems similar but people bring their own beds. We look forward to meeting new people and sharing our little piece of the Last Green Valley with others. O'Kumover is the name of the bed and breakfast in Eastford that my grandmother operated in the early 1900s after my grandfather died leaving her with 3 small children.

Susan and Wayne were very welcoming and their lake property was a beautiful place to stop for two nights. Quiet, peaceful, and great views. We were on an antique buying vacation but we took time out to swim and kayak in the lake which was fantastic. We hope that we can visit again. We really enjoyed meeting you all and hope to see you again.
