I have one site next to my house in town just off the highway. It has a gravel pad with Wifi, water, 30 amp electric, outdoor patio, fire pit, and gas grill for cooking. The other two sites are one mile south of town on a private lake in the country. They are grass lots with 30 amp electric only. They require a one mile drive on a gravel road and may not be available if ground is too wet. Fishing is available and pets are welcome at both locations. If you don't want to drive on gravel and like having extra amenities, then stay in town next to my house. If you want to be in a pretty, quiet spot all by yourself in the country with electric only, then stay at the lake. Suggested Local Attractions:Goose Pond fish and wildlife wetland preserve 10 min away. Great for bird watching, hunting, fishing. Large Amish community with a great Friday night Amish auction 20 min away. 1 hour from Bloomington and TerreHaute. 1.5 hours from Evansville and Indianapolis.

Access Road Conditions: House site is just off state highway 67 in Lyons Indiana. My concrete driveway is a little narrow from the pear trees that line it on one side (may lightly scrape some tree leaves) with a tight turn off the highway. It may also require a multiple point turn to get turned back around for bigger rigs. However, I have done it countless times with my 35 foot bumper pull and have also had a 40 foot Class A pull in and out without problem. The lake sites are 1 mile south of town and requires a 1 mile drive on a gravel road. These sites are very private on a nice 5 acre lake on grass pad and may be unavailable if ground is too wet. Easy access here for any size.

Family of 4 who likes to travel. Looking forward to offering you a nice free camp site! Details: Our goal is to show our 2 boys the lower 48 states before they go off to college! Our first trip was out west and I just thought camp grounds were overly priced for what you get. I saw this web site and thought it was a great idea and look forward to being a good host and to find nice free camping in return! Home Town: Lyons, Indiana Favorite Boondocking Locations: Have never boondocked yet! Only KOA's, Jellystone, and state parks so far. Looking forward to trying it.

Scott was great with communication. He quickly replied to any questions and went above and beyond helping us to find cool things to see and do. He supplied us with 30 amp power and offered water hookup. We had plenty of water on board so didn’t take him up on that offer. The parking next to the house was perfect for us. It’s a quiet and peaceful location. We arrived with a 37’ motor home with a tow vehicle. There was plenty of parking available for us. The driveway is a little tight getting into for a big rig. scott had us approach from the south otherwise we couldn’t have made the turn. There’s also trees at the end of the driveway that will scrape your rig when you come and go. No way to avoid them with a tall rig.

This was a perfect location for us to stop on our first night from Wisconsin to Florida. We chose to stay at the home location and it was perfect for our 34 ft. travel trailer and our truck. We were able to pull into the driveway fairly easily and there was plenty of room to turn around in the parking area. We appreciated the bonus of the electric hookup. We met their son who was so friendly and polite and offered us a suggestion if we were looking for a restaurant. The property was beautiful and quiet. We would definately stay here again!

This was my first Boondocker’s Welcome experience. The host responded quickly to my inquiry and was very hospitable. The location may be a little off the beaten path but the country drive was relaxing. My large SUV and Casita total about 38 feet in length. I’m new to towing and had no problem turning around in the large driveway and backing in to the level site next to the house. It was nice not having to unhook for the night. My dog loved running on the large property without a leash. We both enjoyed meeting this nice family and their friendly pets. This was a great overnight spot followed by a quiet and pleasant drive out the next morning, even on a weekday.

We were traveling with 2 campers so we chose the 2 spots down at the lake. The communication was great and the location was phenomenal. 2 spots were mowed down for us with 30amp power. I had a couple questions which were answered by text message within minutes. The kids loved the lake and fishing and we didnt see or hear a person the whole time we were there. Very nice quiet spot. I will say bring insect repellent and check for ticks. There were alot. Definitley would recommend this spot as the host (even when he was out of town) prepped the site for us and was easily accessible by text. We really appreciated the generosity and if we are ever traveling through the area again would definitely stay there - if they will have us!

We had a great stay. The host was very nice and the site was reasonably level. We were also allowed to use his 30amp power.
