Sam and Sharon are your hosts. Site is just off main road in gently rolling farm country. Approximately 25 miles off interstate. State Parks and lakes within one hour travel. We are a retired couple with 2 dogs and 9 cats so pets are very welcome. The off lease area is shared with our dogs and cats. Guests are company and welcome to join us in our backyard in-ground swimming pool and barbecue area. Or welcome to your own privacy in the yard beside your rig. Rigs will have to back up the driveway. Motor homes of course can back either in or out, your preference. Lots of room at bottom end of driveway to turn. Guests are welcome to the use of our garage and work bench and tool collection for minor repairs of which we can help to perform or do all if needed. Sam and Sharon are Jack and Jill of all trades. Suggested Local Attractions:Stonewall Jackson Lake, Black Water Falls State Park, Tygart Valley Lake and State Park, Stonecoal Lake, Philippi Civil War Museum, Civil War battlefields, Tygart Valley River, Canaan Valley, Scenic railway excursions.

Access Road Conditions: Requires backing the rig approximately 70 feet up a slight driveway slope. Plenty of room at driveway entrance to turn and maneuver. Access to site is on wide well paved roads. Should you arrive and find for some reason you prefer not to back, parking for rig can be accommodated along a gravel road on a grassy spot in our orchard and if you don't mind driving over a concrete cattle guard and having no electric or water. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Can stay attached if total length is less than 45 feet. But will be easier to get level if detached. or can park in separate driveway off street.

Sharon and Sam were great hosts and extremely helpful during our one night stay. Sharon helped us into the driveway and with any questions we had. A note for future travelers, bring your 15-30amp adapter for the electric as this was needed during our stay to plug in. We did not see a 30amp adapter as I worked with Sharon during setup as we had forgotten our 15-30amp adapter at home. we had no issues at all running our one AC which was a major plus. thank you again Taste of WV!

Extremely nice people. Made us feel at home. Offered good advice on sites to see, places to eat, and things to do in the area.

This is a great spot in the rolling hills of north central West Virginia. The friendly host knows a lot about the state and its history. Excellent place to boondock away from big city life. You'll be greeted and inspected by some nice cats. It's very safe and secure. Consider staying more than 1 night -- if your schedule allows it. Thanks for everything!
