We are ready for guests! Gorgeous cool mountain location in SW Virginia. Located conveniently near interstate. Property has beautiful scenery with mountains, horse and cow pasture and a creek for cooling off. Located conveniently near I-77, lovely scenic byways, and right on the Back of the Dragon motorcycle route. Nearby Bluefield, WV offers loads of excitement for ATV enthusiasts. New River, Wolf Creek Indian Village and Appalachian Trail are also nearby. Terry and Jan are avid horseback trail riders and have camped and rode horses since 2011. In 2018, we took a 10-week road trip from NC to South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Coastal Oregon, Northern California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and bluegrass Kentucky. We stayed at several Boondocker's Welcome and Harvest Hosts along the way. We loved meeting and sharing the hospitality of all the hosts. We have recently moved to this location and wanted to be able to share the same hospitality.

Very friendly hosts! This has been the most beautiful place to stay, especially this time of year! My pup Phoeniz was able to roam freely and loved playing in the creek!

Jan and Terry were great hosts with their new country home. I could’ve stayed there a week to explore the trails and river, with the fall colors on fire, but unfortunately, it was a quick stop on my drive south.

Jan & Terry greeted and guided us to park. The clear direction was given beforehand. Jan recommended a good scenic drive and Appalachian trail. I enjoyed walking my dog around the creek and little hill behind the house. We had restful nights in the beautiful mountains. We felt cared by their hospitality. Even their cat, Whisker was so adorable and affectionate that it was hard to leave her behind. It is a must stop.

A beautiful place to stay after a long day of traveling to the coast. Retired owners are very friendly. Easy to get to. Easy to get set up. Easy to leave.

Despite the rain, both Jan and Terry were there to greet us and help us get settled. Their farm is nestled in a beautiful setting and we were able to enjoy the spectacular fall foliage. We really didn’t venture out that evening, due to the rain and chilly temperatures, but the next morning we enjoyed a pleasant walk (in the rain) down to the river with our dog, Sadie. We had to laugh… their dog Daisy and their young cat walked with us the entire way! While the parking place was fine, entering through the front gate was tricky with our 40 ft. motor home. On our way out, Terry was kind enough to help guide us through the gate (again in the rain). We enjoyed our visit and wished we had more time to spend with our hosts.
