we were in town visiting family and wanted someplace easily accessible and quite. Orv and Sheila provided both. They were warm and welcoming.

We never cease to be amazed at the great places we get to stay and the interesting people we meet at Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcome locations. The Barn Yard is no exception. David and Lisa are two of the nicest and most interesting people we’ve met. They are also very accommodating. They invited us to a campfire the evening of our stay and David shared some of his delicious home brew! We shared life stories sitting around the campfire. We really enjoyed hearing about David and Lisa’s adventures flying, building travel trailers, buying a civil war era cannon, boondocking, and lots more. What a great evening! As for the location, their farm is beautiful. It’s out in the rolling hills of the Ozarks. We parked up the hill from their house. Location was very private and level with a million dollar view of the Ozarks. They even have water and power available from a nearby barn. There is about a half mile trail around their property that we were able to walk with our dog. Can’t say enough good about David, Lisa, and their farm. If you’re ever anywhere near this location, be sure to visit.

David and Lisa were very welcoming hosts. They guided us to our site beside their barn. They were very accommodating, telling us they had anything we might need to borrow, just ask. Told us of trails they had mowed so we could walk. Would definitely come back.
