You will be camping on the edge of a 12 acre field. The area has had much Trailer/RV use ( including a 45000lb Prevost) without issues even in rainy weather. But if it is wet from rain or dew you may get footwear wet from the lawn/grass, be prepared. Walking distance from our house. It is a mowed area and well maintained. You can watch nature happen from this location. Our past boondockers have seen bear, deer, coyote, fox and many prey birds during a short 1 km walk (trail) around the field. A great window to watch the stars. Its a short distance off the main road which is especially good for people with pets and children. Andrew has an (at home) professional sharpening business so if you're here and need/want your knifes sharpened hit him up (no obligation) , $8 - $10+ CAD each (price depends on blade length) He also sharpens axes, garden tools, saws... if you have it he can sharpen it! Before you go we have a guest wall for you to sign! An old fashion General store/ bakery within walking distance from our house where you can order fresh baked bread for your morning (order the afternoon before to have it baked fresh for you) and the cake and cookies are fantastic (Earltown General Store) Please be aware that they have sporadic hours and sometimes close early. Lots of wilderness trails and a designated Wilderness area very close to the house. If you are looking for peace, relaxing and a place to just take a breath and say aahhhhhhh you've come to the right Boondocker. Suggested Local Attractions: We live in the middle of the wilderness with soooo much at arms length. 2 minutes walk - Earltown General Store 24 kms - Rushton’s Beach 39 kms - Blue Sea Beach 23 kms - Tatamagouche Road Train 29 kms - Patterson’s Wharf 23 kms - The Tatamagouche Brewery 15 kms - Balmoral Grist Mill 33 kms - Tidal Bore in Truro 62 kms = Rafting the Tidal Bore in Maitland Area (Shubenacadie River Runners) a must for the adventure seekers 16 kms - Sutherland Steam Mill 40 kms - Jost Vineyards 0 kms - Go for a hike to find what’s left from the “Hermit of Gully Lake” a local interest (can find info about him on YouTube) We are a day trip (or a few hours) to Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Parrsboro/ Harbour View Restaurant/ Five Islands, and Sherbrooke Village on the Eastern Shore Area 30 kms - Truro, Beautiful Victoria Park

Most importantly, follow our directions for parking before you arrive so you have easy and SAFE access. (please keep your RV within the very large mowed area). Arrive anytime before dark. Please be aware that we have a very large puppy. He likes to bounce and do puppy things. We hope by summer 2024 he will be out of this puppy stage. Enjoy yourself, respect others and the land. Please keep garbage and food inside your RV as we have a lot of wildlife. They likely wont bother you or your belongings but if you leave trash outside you may wake to a mess. Please don't drop cigarette butts or ashes if you smoke. Take care when using flames of any kind during the dry season. Generators can run as long as you need it and it doesn't disrupt other boondockers that may be within ear shot.

This was our first BW stay and all I can say is, “Wow, what an amazing host and location!”. Patti was so incredibly kind and helpful, she even gave us pointers for our trip to NL. The property is amazing, beautiful and peaceful. We would love to stay on our way back from NL.

The hosts were awesome. Very welcoming and very quite location. They were more than willing to share places to go and offered us a stay on our return back thru later in August-which we will certainly do. Highly recommend if you are passing thru this area. And their sigh in “wall” is cool!

Spent three days here. Wonderful, informative hosts. Helped us get bookings to Newfoundland...as we used their phone to do the bookings (no phone service there). The bear siting was awesome!

This was our 1st Boondockers Welcome stay and it was fantastic. Great directions to an amazing parking spot in a level grass field that was solid in spite of all the rain. The views were lovely. The hosts, Patty and Andrew are even lovelier, so welcoming and gracious with their time and information about the area. We hiked the nearby cemetery and lake trail which we really enjoyed. Thank you for hosting us and for a peaceful 2 nights. And the coffee cake was delicious.
