House Rules

Most importantly, follow our directions for parking before you arrive so you have easy and SAFE access. Enjoy yourself, respect others and the land. Please keep Garbage and food inside your RV as we have a lot of wildlife, Bears, Coyote, Fox, Bobcats, Etc. They likely wont bother you or your belongings but if you leave trash outside you may wake to a mess. Please don't drop cigarette butts or ashes if you smoke because for the fire hazard also take care when using flames of any kind during the dry season. Please clean up after your animals Generators can run as long as you need it and it doesn't disrupt other boondockers that may be within ear shot

We loved our stay with Patty and Andrew. Enjoyed a campfire with them and stayed for three days. Andrew even repaired a small carving for us that had broken in our travels. Thanks again! PS. We really thought we had written this review much earlier. Sorry about that

One of our favourite places to stop, heading away for a trip, or going home. Nice grassy spot, and a great little store just up the street. Thank you for your hospitality!

The hosts were accommodating and pleasant. They invited us to share their Friday nite campfire and chat. Beautiful piece of property and the owner’s shared info about their little personal farm and crafts. Really enjoyed the stay.

What a great place to stay. Easy access, very quiet, but the best thing were the hosts. Patty and Andrew were so welcoming and friendly and easy to talk to. They were a wealth of knowledge on local and Newfoundland travel. We enjoyed them so much we ended up back at their place after our month in Newfoundland. We highly recommend The Bear Necessities.
