We live on a 1-1/4 acre property with a large, main house in front (rented) and our small house/shop in the back. We only host travelers and vacationing RVers and enjoy reciprocating the hospitality we enjoy when we travel. We self impose some limits to the frequency and duration of guests so as to not annoy our neighbors/renters. It is possible I may need to decline your request even if our calendar is open based on how 'busy' we have been. We will not host 'local' RVers who live in their RV and work in the area. The main house on the front of the property and the driveway in front of the house for the exclusive use of the renters. Our primary hosted parking spot is in the back of the property near our home/shop and under large camphor trees; gets quite a bit of shade in the morning and mid-day. It's close to our house where you’ll be the closest to water (10ft). You can dump in our septic access with about 15ft of hose (please ask us to direct you). We have a portable power pedestal with connections for 50A/240V, 30A/120V, and 15A/120V that can reach all of our spots. There are over a dozen various citrus trees on the property which you are welcome to pick to your heart's content. Pets are welcome on a leash but the yard is not fenced. We also have a dog...Mr Cooper. If you have any repair or maintenance needs, we have a large shop and lots of equipment. Steve may be able to help you or at least provide an out-of-the-way place for you to work. This area is semi-rural and with that comes animals. You will hear dogs, cats, birds (large aviary 2 doors down), owls, and a rooster. Additionally, we have squirrels in abundance and raccoons, possums, and rarely a skunk are around at night. We can have, annoying mosquitos based on the weather. Suggested Local Attractions:Things to do 1. Victoria Ave trail / bike path (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/victoria-avenue-trail) 2. The Citrus Park. http://www.parks.ca.gov/CaliforniaCitrusSHP/ 3. The metrolink commuter train/Amtrak station is 2 miles away off La Sierra and Indiana and has routes into Orange County (beaches, Angel Stadium, etc) or LA (Union Station). 4. Other Hiking –one of our local favorite areas is to head to Skyline Drive trail in Corona: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/skyline-drive 5. Further away areas that could be of Interest: a. Idylwild - http://www.idyllwild.com/ - day hikes and quiet mountain town (90 min drive) b. Palm Springs – Tram, Downtown, Golfing, Shopping, Dining (90 min drive) c. Temecula – Wine Country (45 min away 15 South) d. Joshua Tree National Park (90 min) e. Anza Borrego Desert State Park (2 hours) f. San Diego (2 hours)

We try to stay out of other's business but we also need to be responsible to our neighbors. This is a very quiet neighborhood. We rent the house on the front of the property and are concerned about annoying those near us. We 'ration' our stay requests somewhat, so our calendar may be open but if we've had recent guests, we may need to decline. In keeping with the quiet neighborhood, we do not allow the use of generators or smoking. We welcome children of all ages. They are welcome to climb my trees and pick fruit (as long as its eaten and you supervise).
Location
For <25' long (Class B, Truck Campers, Small Trailers, Etc) - You can pull straight down the driveway, past the front house and stop in front of our brown fence. There is a portion of narrow driveway. We'll help get you oriented from there. For >25' rigs - you will absolutely need to back down the driveway. There is insufficient room in the back of the lot to turn around. We recommend stopping out front in the bike lane or pulled into the gravel drive and park. Meet with us to show you the path. Continue reading the Maneuvering details for more specifics and make sure you're comfortable with the narrow section of our driveway. MANUEVERING FOR >24' LONG TRAILERS/RIGS Getting to the back of the lot requires negotiating a somewhat narrow gravel drive on the side of the lot. OBSTACLES to understand before deciding to stay here: • The driveway is 14ft wide pea gravel when you enter. There is a concrete stop for the electric gate (which is always open) about 6ft from the road on the small rise just off the street. It’s about 3” tall and can be driven on but with it being located on a 'hump' and the low clearance of some RV’s, it could be a problem. • About 40ft from the road, the driveway is narrowest, about 9ft, where it passes between a tall fence and a hedge. Watch your mirror’s hitting the fence.

Living and enjoying Details: Hi - I'm Cheryl. Steve and I got married in 2018 and are both recently retired from the corporate world. Cooper is our puggle and constant traveler. We'll be trekking throughout the US over the next 2-3 years and are excited to visit and experience what our great country has to offer. Home Town: Riverside, CA I grew up in southern California and Steve in Montana but has lived in So Cal for over 20 years. We don't plan on hanging out at home much between road-tripping and other travel plans. Favorite Boondocking Locations: too many to count Skills or Expertise to Share: Steve is a wizard at anything. He is a mechanical engineer and worked in a variety of manufacturing companies (including an RV manufacturer). He built our current home, and we have renovated several kitchens lately, with several more planned. He built our (massive) lithium battery and solar system on our current truck camper. He's also a good cook and enjoys exploring new recipes. Cheryl has been in the software quality and project management world for major computer hardware manufacturers and has an affection for gadgets. She also enjoys cooking, reading and traveling. What an amazing stay! Steve and Cheryl were fabulous hosts and the site couldn’t have be better, with full hookups. Quick Access to everything in the city, but in a country setting, surrounded by a citrus orchard. Steve is an absolute wizard and they were kind enough to walk me through their camper build, “Maximus”. Check out their YouTube channel, it’s full of great content. Thank you Steve and Cheryl, so glad meet you two!

We stayed at the Citrus Orchard and ours hosts, Cheryl and Steve, were fantastic! They gave us a little tour of their property, including the citrus trees, and Steve showed us the very cool RV he built himself. He’s a mechanical engineer, and so we asked him about lithium batteries (which we’re planning to install in our trailer). My husband even contacted him a couple of weeks later for some follow up questions. The following day, we spent a few hours at the Citrus State Park, where we tasted various citrus fruits and walked around the beautiful gardens. Thanks, Steve and Chery!!

This place was amazing, and while I didn't get to meet Cheryl, Steve was excellent and super interesting person, if you have a chance to stay there its a great experience - if you cycle you are close to some nice vineyards and equestrian centre Thank you

Steve and Cheryl were incredibly gracious hosts. They greeted us warmly to their beautiful property and made sure we had everything we needed. Their setup was really well thought out and comfortable and peaceful. I couldn't imagine needing anything more. Really fun to check out their rig too and all of the neat custom work they've done. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

we stayed with Steve and Cheryl for 2 nights and we loved out stay. There was tons of room available for us, as well as water, power and wifi. And we juiced to our hearts content with the fruit from their beautiful fruit trees. They are wonderfully kind and generous hosts and we hope to come back again.
