a large parking lot outside a busy community market. we are fishing village, we have lots of beauty but not a lot going on, 10 miles from route 1 in midcoast maine, then 15 miles north to rockland, 15 miles south to damariscotta. No hook ups, just a safe place to get off the road for a night. we have 2 outdoor decks and a bocci court and a small backyard you will have access to, you can set up lawn chairs and a bbq there. We have an outdoor sink - very small, and a faucet and hose. an indoor toilet while the store is open and a porta potty across the street. We also have a small book swap box,, take a book or leave a book.. AND we even have an AED device and as i am an old Registered Nurse,, i know how to use it We! (Never needed it here yet!) We are mainly becoming hosts to meet RVers and learn the lifestyle. We live on site of the store so we are almost always here. generators and slide outs are welcome if they fit in parking lot and not overly loud generator over night. Suggested Local Attractions:everything is about fishing here, lobsters abound!! We are small peninsula our street ends in a loop so its a great quick walk tp the end of the peninsula & back to our store. If you walk down every street it ends at the water. A ten minute to the town landing has the public wharf folks use to get to the islands or kayak off to sea. The private wharfs are very open to visitors and if u have cash its the best place to buy lobster. If u arrive at the perfect time you may be cooked a lobstah down there and invited to hang out. Ask around if anyone is willing to take u out and u can get a front row seat to lobstering, they leave early however. This is a working harbor, it can be loud, smelly & weed is around. But its real and comfortable. Everyone is friendly. Ayup, its Friendship, Maine

Location
Access Road Conditions: we are at the crossroads of route 220 South and 97 East, the roads are narrow, with little to no shoulder. we live on a peninsula so its tight. We get deliveries every day for our store with huge trucks and everyone fishes here so we always we have bait trucks and lobster trucks driving back and forth. But its a simple large parking lot, we are not a campground, no hookups, just a safe place to pull in, we have an outdoor sink, an outdoor hose, an indoor toilet during store hours,- no showers etc, you are welcome to the wifi and of course shop in the market and outdoor shed if you need anything. We are becoming hosts to learn about the full time RV life, of which, we hope to become a part of in a few years time. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: we have a fairly big parking lot, if you pull in during peak store hours it might be hard to accomodate you, but if you come early in the day or late in the day we should have a spot for you and your truck. obviously you will be calling first to see if we have the space

heading towards the road Details: hello, my husband and I own the only store in town on a peninsula in mid coast Maine. We live in Friendship, Maine which is about 10 miles from route 1 then 15 miles north to Rockland or 15 Miles south to Damariscotta. We have an outdoor sink, and an indoor toilet, no hook ups, but we have wi-fi and a safe parking lot you can park your RV in for a few days. Our store is open 365 days a year, 5 am til 8 pm so its not always quiet but its just fishing and salt life happenings. You can stock up on what you need, gasoline and supplies, and we have great food if you are looking for that. We hope to be on the road full time in 2 years time, so we would love to meet folks who have stories, etc to share. we live at our store, in the duplex next door, one of our sons shares our duplex and our other son lives in the apartment above the store, so its a family affair. Home Town: my husband and i both graduated from stoughton high school, 10 miles south of boston, massachusetts, we had a store in raynham mass for 16 years and now have this market in friendship maine going on 18 years!! Favorite Boondocking Locations: we are just getting started, we are hoping to hear from others how to get the most out of this RV life Skills or Expertise to Share: my husband makes the best sandwich you will ever eat in your life, i am not kidding. The Best! I am a registered nurse, retired, but keep up my license & we have an AED on site. I also have a small art studio where I attempt to create things! Usually a mess!

We were staying for an overnight in Friendship and found Ernie to be a terrific host and the store to have everything you could think of. We couldn't believe the depth of the market and the special items they carry. Sandwiches, pizza and bakery items were some of our favorites. We were in the area for a wedding but will come back to spend some time in this town. Absolutely gorgeous and every is friendly.

we really enjoyed our stay at the corner, Ernie and Joan are so sweet and have a nice little store they run. They were very accommodating and happy to help out with anything we needed. We didn’t need any plug in’s, but they offered us water and power if needed.

Friendship is lobster fishing village-120 boats in the harbor! The HH site is the store’s busy parking lot. The store owners are RVers and could not have been nicer. The store is a local treasure for its grocery selection and deli - the meatball sub will be long remembered! The Corner is definitely on the return visit list!

This is the best stopover. It was pouring rain, so we drove down to the water and bought live lobster for dinner. Delicious, they were. The host owns the busiest Country Store we have ever seen - and it was off season. Can't wait to go their way again, and highly recommend it.
