House Rules

There is a trash can provided at the site. We try our best to eliminate pesty fire ants. But this is the south! We always canvass the area prior to guests arriving. Should you see an active ant hill, there is a bag of ant killer in the green trash can behind the building next to the door. If you have young children you must be with them at all times when outside. We have a pond on the property near the sites. We have a very, docile friendly beagle that enjoys meeting other dogs. Please, if you have a dog that would pose a threat if approached by our Beagle and it is outside, either stay with your dog or have it muzzled. Our Beagle has the run of the property. Remember.... these are both back in sites.

Access Road Conditions: An easy drive. Approximately 8 miles from I-65 . When pulling into the site, we will direct you to pull head first into a gravel lane across the road and then back into the site. Don't worry about traffic when doing this as there is very little traffic on our road. If you have a tow you can unhook in the road or after registering a stay, will be given directions to a service station/grocery you will pass about 3 miles from our site. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Next to your RIG or in grassy area of RV sites. The grassy area of RV sites has a stone base.

Retired and settled, full-timed for 7 years Details: We are a retired couple who after full-timing for 7 years have settled here in north Alabama. We continued to RV after moving here for a couple of years but due to health reasons had to hang up the keys. But we love having visitors stay on our 2 RV sites. The wife is originally from southern New Jersey, Hubby is from Lake Charles area of Louisiana. We have 5 children between us. Wife's girls and families live in MD and PA. Hubby's son and family live nearby and one daughter in Louisiana and one near Houston. So most of our traveling is visiting with the families. Home Town: We live 10 miles outside of Cullman, AL. Cullman has any thing you would need. Two Walmart's and a Publix. Lots of restaurants like Applebees, Cracker Barrel, Dennys, Logans Steakhouse, 2 McDonalds, 2 Burger Kings, 2 Zaxbys, Popeyes, 2 KFC., Golden Corral, Jim n Nicks BBQ. A couple of Mexican Restaurants. Locally owned establishments. We are but a few miles from Clarkson Covered Bridge and the Ave Maria Grotto. The warehouse district of Cullman is an area of small boutique shops, restaurants, etc. There are several auto dealerships and RV repair facilities in Cullman or nearby Our RV sites sit on our 4 acres out in the country. We are less than 8 miles from I-65 X308. We are surrounded by woods and fields. We have one site that is 50 amp Full Hook Up. The other is electric and water. Should you require a 30 amp hookup, we will provide an adapter for your use while here. Skills or Expertise to Share: Having RVed from Rio Grande Valley of Texas to Alaska and Rhode Island to Yuma, AZ we have lots of traveling stories to share. During our RVing days we were members of NOMADS, a mission of the United Methodist Church. We would volunteer for two or three 3-week projects a year at camps, churches, retreat centers and community outreach. This included building, repairs, landscaping and whatever else the agency needed us to do.

The hosts were fantastic and very welcoming, we greatly appreciated their hospitality. We were ready to unwind after a 575 mile day and this was a perfect location to do just that. Having a level gravel spot to park that even had electric service was amazing. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area

We cant thank Leonard and Phyliis enough for a safe friendly place to wait out the severe weather. We were on our way north home after our winter in Florida and as usual severe weather was ahead. As it turned out the storm went further north and missed us. These hosts and the site are top notch. We cant add anything more than has already been said. This will become one of our regular visits on our trek south. Arrived as strangers but leaving as friends.

continuing my review, Biscuit the dog was great. The owners showed us the fish pond and were very gracious and let us know where they wanted us to park. It's a beautiful setting and We would highly recommend staying at their place.

The Hosts were so wonderful. Communication was good, parking area level, hookups were spot-on and the area was so peaceful. Watching the ducks and fish in the pond was the best. Thank you for being so generous in sharing your little piece of heaven with us!
