Location
Access Road Conditions: Access is from a gravel road. Somewhat hilly with 1 sharp turn at the beginning. Best suited for Class B's, teardrops and other small trailers and vans. Class C's may work but due to overhanging limbs on road you enter at your own risk. Amazon and the UPS truck make it regularly, though.

Sight Seer Details: Just completed my first 7-day trip in preparation for a coming cross-country trip in the spring. I have lots of room but don't think bigger rigs would be able to navigate my road, more suitable to class-C and vanlifers. Home Town: Kernersville is located in the area known as the Piedmont Triad, defined by the cities of Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point, North Carolina. My hope is actually outside of the city limits, closest to High Point. Favorite Boondocking Locations: I'm new to boondocking but on a recent trip I stayed in friends driveways, on the street in front of their houses, and even a few parking lots, including Walmart. I had a nice stay the the Fortress of Solitude, which lives up to its name especially given the location. James was a great host, he went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and make sure I enjoyed my time in the area. Would definitely stay again

James is a gracious host. The road leading to his home is winding, narrow and gravel, but because of his communication before I arrived, I knew what to expect. James's property is a perfect location for anyone visiting the Triad region.

James is the host and a more welcoming and friendly person could not be expected. He helped us set up the van nicely and stay around for a tour of our new OGA-built campervan. Gave us great info on local trails which we used the next day, cruising Salem Lake Park. We are especially appreciative of being welcomed in on the same day as we had been without internet for a week prior while in Damascus/Hickory area. Great stop! We wish James luck with his new PleasureWay camper van. I'm pretty sure he'll soon be on the road and using his BW privileges.

This host is about getting you comfortably situated and then wanting to hear about your travels and adventures. Also enjoyed watching the four deer along property edge in the AM. Nice quite location for smaller units.

The access road has a lot of low hanging trees, but the heavy branches could be avoided with care in my Class C. I was there to visit friends and the host graciously offered to take me in his car to meet them and as a bonus gave me a tour of Winston Salem. His backyard is a delightful and quiet place to camp. I made a new good friend, and I would definitely stay there again.
