Location

Access Road Conditions: This site is at 1058 Lakeshore Dr., on a narrow but well traveled cottage paved road. We bring our 32 ft 5th wheel in easily. There are a couple of blind corners that you need to stay on your side of the road for but all trees are high enough . The RV site requires being backed into. It is off the road at 90 degrees. There is no other place to turn around because the road is a dead end. The site has a slight slope so it will require some leveling. We can offer 30 amp and well water. Wi fi is available at our house which is a 1 minute walk down the road. Also a dock is available there where you are welcome to swim or just sit and enjoy the lake. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: beside your rig. Parking is not recommended on the street because it is too narrow.

Active inquisitive seniors. Details: We have both ridden motorcycles for many years and loved doing the long distance trips. We always camped but eventually decided that sleeping on the ground was becoming a little hard on our bodies. We decided to try an RV a few years ago and fell in love with traveling this way. A couple of years ago we joined Harvest Hosts and enjoyed staying with many hosts on our trip to the Grand Canyon. Boondockers Welcome has been even more rewarding. It is sooo much better than a campground and such fun meeting people who love doing the same thing we do. Home Town: Oakville, ON , and Woodstock, ON. For the last 20 years we have lived in Gravenhurst, ON . Winters are spent in warmer climes when Covid allows us to travel. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have not had a bad spot yet and each one is different. Every spot has had interesting people too. Such a bonus. Skills or Expertise to Share: My husband owned a business in the construction industry and has lots of hands on experience with most mechanical things. I love to exchange travel tips with others and enjoy planning our next adventure.

Nothing tops an afternoon swim in Lake Muskoka off the host's dock. Well maybe the "Happy Hour" is a close second. We had a wonderful time meeting wonderful hosts during our 2-night stay. Strongly recommend this as a boondocking location!

Directions to site were clear and accurate. Roads were hard surfaced; all turns easily made due to expanse of pavement at intersections. Site is wide and free of obstacles with fine sightlines. A 30 foot trailer will fit at right angles to the road, longer at a diagonal or parallel. The slope will require level!ing of the RV. Quiet neighbourhood day and night. Utilities kindly provided by hosts are close at hand. Grounds much like an Agatha Christie rural cottage. Shoreline dock could accommodate the Winoah if she chose to interrupt 1 of her regular cruises through the strait (twice while we were there). Location in heart of Muskoka leaves a multitude of places to visit. We circled Lake .Muskoka with a picnic at Port Carling's lock-side park (free parking at library). Susie is an amiable host with a good knowledge of the region. An excellent opportunity to briefly feel like a Muskoka millionaire with only CTC money in your pocket. Bimodal

This was our first boondocking experience, and Susie and Murray have set the bar high! They were incredibly accommodating upon arrival, even gave us fresh vegetables to cook with our dinner. They let us use their lake for the evening, which was just incredible. We were really sad to leave the next day, thanks so much for having us.

Close to lake. They let you use their dock to swim or read a book. Very accessible hosts, easy to find. They truly love life. Parking is easy on a gravel base not far from lake. Not meant for large units. Hosts also very helpful in recommending sights and restraints

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Green Garage. The hosts were super friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The parking spot was across the road from Lake Muskoka but there is a dock we were welcome to use. A neighbour also invited us to use his dock. The views are just beautiful. Hope to go back.
