Very nice kind hosts! We enjoyed walking by the river and chatting with the hosts and the local folks. Quiet and peaceful!

We stayed here 11/23–25/2022. Our host communicated with us via text and phone to direct us to our near-level site, one of a couple within a a small riverside trailer park behind the hosts' residence down a bluff. We did appreciate the electric connection and view and access to the Brazos River. It rained throughout our brief stay, and we were sorry we did not have the opportunity to our hosts Linda and Larry. We saw great blue herons daily on the river and once a deer near our site. Although we had intended to stay 4 nights, we had to leave after 2 because, even with an elevated weBoost antenna, the Verizon cell service was insufficient during the daytime to support cell-to-internet service which we needed.

Larry and Linda are great hosts!! we stayed 2 nights our site faced the river they offered electric and water at this site and it was fairly level. We meet 2 other couples there camping plus Shirl and Doug who are locals plus a few of the neighbors. we travel in a 42 ft MH plus a toad and we will be back there again sometime down the roar in our travels!!!!

We have stopped at The Hideaway several times. The host is always very accommodating and friendly. We enjoy our visits with him. It is a beautiful view looking out of your window to see the lake/river! With a view like that, you can't help but relax! We would recommend staying here!

Directions getting to the street were confusing. Once we arrived out front we knew we were there because of the Hideaway sign. What’s hidden is the camping area. You drive alongside the house, then down a steep gravel drive to the back yard. Backing into a site was easy. There’s a grassy field and the river just beyond. Old dogs and friendly folks!
