Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the spot was fabulous. Level, shaded and there was even power and water available if needed. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Duke and Penny were great hosts. The parking is in thier circle drive so access is very easy. We have the largest rig they have hosted so far at a combined 64ft and had no problems with access or departure. There were a few tree limbs that concerned me for getting out do to the height of our 5th wheel but Duke allowed us to use his trimming saw and clean them out of the way, giving us an unobstructed path for our 13'5" high rig. We will certainly stay there again if our travels and their schedules match up in the future.

Great place to stop. We were here for three nights in our 39' motorcoach with a Jeep in tow. Duke our host was waiting for us when we got there and helped us get settled in. We greatly enjoyed the privacy, peace, and quiet. We got a lot of chores done while there, too. Duke welcomed us to wash, wax, or fix anything we needed to get done while there. Highly recommended.

We really appreciated the opportunity to spend a night at the Nest. We were tired when we arrived and after a good, quiet, peaceful night’s rest we were ready to travel. Our host was fun to talk with sharing travel and life experiences.

After a full day of traveling, The Nest was a perfect place to land. I wanted to break the bike out and go for a ride to unwind. The host guided me to a great “off the beaten path” route to Athens. Its an hours ride away, and I think I only encountered two stop signs before reaching the city. Had a fantastic lunch at The Grit (199 Prince Street, if you’re ever that way). The trip there and back was picturesque and calming. Hartwell, GA is home to the Southern Hart Brewing Company, located right in the heart of downtown. Nice little brew pub and restaurant… and you can throw axes out back, if you’re inclined! The Nest has it all! Gracious hosts, stuff to do and explore nearby, and peace and quiet for great sleeping.
