Location

Access Road Conditions: Paved right up to our property then well tended gravel road no pot holes or washboard. However with the winter of 2022 and record snow and now record rains our yard is far from perfect as it normally would be by now. We do have plenty of room to park but the beachfront area we had to CLOSE off. 1 there is no beach right now it's under 7 feet of water and 2 the ground is so soft one is guaranteed to get stuck. Unfortunately our point can not be enjoyed as it is now an island. The road in is still fine as we have hauled in several loads of new gravel and releveled it. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Lots of room private property 20 acres Spots with power will require backing in.

Business owners for 30+ years and love Rv'ing North America Details: Very well rounded and handy to have around. Home Town: Kenora Favorite Boondocking Locations: Have yet to try this other than the occasional Walmart, just purchased a new rig with solar and a generator so see where that leads us. Skills or Expertise to Share: As business owners with a full service security/lock shop we do everything from simple key cutting to installations of entire storefront glass doors & facades. In my spare time I build and renovated properties as well as our own. Very experienced in electrical, plumbing and structure, but my forte is low voltage electronics and can make anything work if you dream it I can build it. I made a friends RV under belly compartment all remote controlled locking/unlocking each with its own button to release a door. It was a great project and fun to do. The real boss well she just loves to meet new people outside our business and RV' ers are her kind of people.

I loved this host and their location very much. I asked to stay and extra day and the host was very accommodating - additionally, when I traveled BACK that direction (going homeward) I was able to stay again. It was peaceful, beautiful and the communication was top notch. HIghly recommend these friendly hosts.

the ranch offers a quiet, private place to land with a beautiful lake point and shore to walk or sit and watch the sun set. Don was there to welcome me on arrival and show me to my spot. he helped me get settled, and even brought firewood for the firepit. They responded immediately if i had questions but also gave me lots of privacy to enjoy a quiet stay. i would definitely return and so appreciate their generosity and kindness!

Easy access from Hwy 17A - all paved right up to the driveway. Instructions were perfect. Don is a wonderful host and made us feel welcomed. We are able to use 30 amp power without issues. Water was also available if we needed it. The area is huge with ample places to park even if on grass. It was lovely to walk to the water and see deer, geese and their lovely puppy. Very peaceful and quiet; enjoyed the sunset view from our camper. Will definitely make this stop a favorite for future visits.

As this was only my second stay at a Harvest Host’s I don’t know what bad is yet. But my stay here was peaceful, deer by the wster at sunset, pine needles underfoot and a cleansing rain, my hosts were more than generous.
