My husband and I have long enjoyed extended backpacking trips as well as month long road trips. We started boondocking in a Toyota mini van with a mattress in the back (and loved it). We have evolved into boondocking in our new Winnebago Revel adventure van. We enjoy the solitude you can discover by seeking out remote locations. We live in West Virginia and have traveled extensively in the western part of the United States. We currently have no pets. Most trips we take are adventure trips that may include backpacking, cycling, kayaking, fly fishing, etc., however we also love good food and wine and just relaxing by a nice fire.

Tom and Tammy were wonderful hosts! Extremely flexible, great communicators, and enjoyable to talk with as we have similar interests (food, wine, travel). The location is tranquil and closer to civilization than it seems to be when you're driving there 😊 Four stars for access as there's one road in the neighborhood getting to their place that has a fairly steep pitch and caused our hitch receiver to scraaaaape along the ground (we have a tow car that's flat towed). On yhe way out I tried to take a better angle (toad was not attached this time) but still got a decent scrape...should have removed the drop hitch and tow bar I guess! If your toad doesn't use a drop hitch you're probably fine.
