Location
Access Road Conditions: I have a coded gate, I must know when to open it. We are directly off Highway 395. If your rig is very long, you may stick out on the highway while the gate opens. I can put my 26ft trailer and Navigator easily in the entry with about 10 foot of space behind. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: I have a large space next to the house yard which could easily park 5 cars. I have hosted 2 large motor homes and their toads. I have a large circle driveway so no problem of getting cornered. I also have a coded gate entry. We have 50 acres so lots of space. Electric outlets at the shop or at the garage. Wi Fi reaches garage, not the shop. In season there is a dump station at the Goose Lake State Park 3 miles south or year round at the Lake County Fairgrounds 12 miles north.

Have R V'd since '84. Details: I was a Navy Junior, Navy wife, and still love traveling. I have lived here for 30 years on 50 acres. We did raise horses, and I raised sheep. I miss them. I spin and dye wool, weave, and just lost my last ewe. I am still active, drive the tractor, and pull a 26 ft. trailer. Home Town: As a Navy Junior I moved a lot as a kid, but spent high school years in Vallejo, California. As a Navy wife for his 30 year career we had 28 homes. I have lived here in Lakeview, Oregon for over 27 years. I call Lakeview 'My Mayberry'. Favorite Boondocking Locations: This is a beautiful county to boondock in. There are a lot of Forest service campgrounds and thousands of acres of BLM. Miles of trails and lone highways for bicycles. Skills or Expertise to Share: No expertise but I do spin, dye, and weave fiber. Knit a lot. And I had a 1 acre organic garden for years.

Very quiet nice stay here beautiful views and we had electric. Shirley Jo was very accommodating. Brought our two dogs with us and they were able to run out in one of the pastures. Thanks again Shirley Jo. Ps I would like to send you some pictures we took of the sunset last night but don’t know where to post.

Her home is beautiful, so easy to get to, right off the highway, parking was a breeze, the view was outstanding, and Shirley and friend that was recovering from knee surgery were so warm and welcoming. A lighting fire started up the highway in the direction we were to travel the next day, Shirley kept us informed of the fire and if the road was going to be closed. We were able to continue or travels the next morning. It was a wonderful place, hope to stay again next year on our way to see family in California.

Just used as a stop over to my destination, but Shirly gave me material about the area, and there are outdoor activities that have now peaked my interest and want to explore. Thank you.

This being my first BW stay I wasn’t sure what to expect. The host was very nice and had a wonderful place to park. There was a nice breeze and it overlooked the empty lake. Pray for rain to fill it once again.
