Property overlooks Quartzsite. Night sky is dark enough to see the milky way. Area is quiet. Off road vehicles can hit the trail right out the end of the driveway to explore nearby mines, stone buildings etc. Suggested Local Attractions:Quartzsite is the Mecca for the RV traveler. During January the vendors that set up shop supply nearly anything imaginable to the traveling RV'er. (Nearly all vendors have closed and moved-on by April).

Location

Access Road Conditions: Paved road to the property. 50 amp available. Site is flat. Slides and Jacks are OK. When arriving be sure to use KOFA as your approach street then go east on Saguaro. (Many map programs use Moon Mountain as approach street to Saguaro and then turn west on Saguaro. However, Saguaro is washed out before you reach our place and you will have to turn around and use KOFA as your approach road to Saguaro). Enter our driveway between the 2 metal Saguaro cacti. Make an immediate right - then left, and park anywhere on the east side of the garage. You will know you are in the right place as water and electric hookup will be labeled. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Tow vehicle parking is available next to your RV

Living the dream every day. We are getting older and acting younger. Details: We enjoy traveling in our RV and enjoy hosting visitors. I am a retired CPA and Geri is retired from our IT department. Lived in Phoenix together for 25+ years developing our accounting business and rental property. Sold everything at retirement and moved to Quartzsite AZ. This is a gathering place for RVers during winter. So much to do and see if you like the out-of-doors. abandoned mines. Thousands of miles of off-road trails to explore. Join the gold club and use their claims to "Strike it rich". Gem and mineral club can teach you lapidary, silversmithing, or any number of other crafts. 80 acre city park has a remote control airplane field with 650' of paved runway good for both gas and electric. We love hosting and talking about this great little city of 3,500 people who support over a million winter visitors during the winter. Come see why Quartzsite is so popular. Home Town: Ed has been in Phoenix AZ since 1968 (home town being southern California). Geri is from Fort Frances, Ont CA. We met on the internet over 25 year ago (dial-up and DOS). This per-chance meeting was the biggest blessing we could have ever imagined. When we are not traveling, we hang our hat here in Quartzsite. When the temperatures get too extreme, we migrate to our cabin in the mountains near Flagstaff. Skills or Expertise to Share: Geri is into developing her crafting skills. She has her "she shed" where she turns out her magic. Also, her she-shed is an afternoon hangout for women's social hour drinking wine (usually exceeding the hour). Ed hacks away at his Yamaha keyboard arranger or breaks out his bagpipes for a bellow into the night air. He flys his rc airplane. He is into the lapidary arts. Also playing at building RV pads on the property with his new John Deere Tractor. Most recently, Ed has started making coin jewelry (Rings from Quarters, Half-dollars etc.).

Not far off I-10 but far enough that you can spend a quiet evening with beautiful views. We met Ed, the owner, who greeted us as soon as we arrived. Filtered and pressure regulated water were available as well as electric hookup for 5 dollars. It's a 50amp hook up so bring a dogbone adapter if you only need 30 amps. Our first boondocker stay and would definitely return.
