Quiet suburban neighborhood with houses fairly close together. 1/4 mile east of Interstate-5 and 1.5 miles from the beach. Parking is in my driveway, which has a moderate 4% slope front-to-rear, and some sideways tilt. I have blocks available that will get you almost level. This space is limited to vans under 25 feet long and 88 inches or less in width with mirrors folded. This is so I can get my car in and out of the garage. Sorry, no trailers or RVs. Temperatures are mostly pleasant, as we are 1.5 miles from the coast. Suggested local attractions: Nice beaches 1-3 miles away (Fletcher Cove has plenty of free parking), VONs supermarket & restaurants: 1/4 mile away. Lots of other stores & restaurants within 1 mile. Mission Bay: 20 minutes. Downtown San Diego: 30 minutes.

This was my 2nd time parking at Chris' place. He is always so kind and welcoming. I appreciate how quiet the neighborhood is & many activities are close by. This trip I enjoyed hiking Annie’s Canyon, exploring the Flower Fields in Carlsbad & discovering a Meditation Garden.

The host was lovely and made us feel at home. This is a great location to all the nearby beaches and shopping. We rode our bikes around the beautiful neighbourhood, cooked our supper, and watched the sunset over the ocean from our van! A great place!

Chris is a really kind & understanding host. The beautiful neighborhood was a quiet & safe place for us to rest in our van after a fun-filled day exploring the city. My husband & I really enjoyed bringing our dinner to the beach that is only a few minutes away. I recommend sitting on the benches above the beach or taking a blanket down to the sand so you can listen to the waves roll in and watch the sky put on a show as the sun sets for the evening!
