Half retired farming couple Details: We bought this wonderful 10 acre property six years ago and have been slowly rehabilitating the space after many rears of neglect. We both enjoy the outdoors whether it's repairing old buildings, pruning overgrown brush or appreciating beautiful sunsets among the gold finches, Carolina wrens and bluebirds or making pies around the fire with friends. We maintain a small apiary, vegetable garden a few chickens and some fruit trees. Home Town: We consider Hillsborough our hometown and the community we relate with. We also connect with many friends in Durham. Skills or Expertise to Share: Tim is a skilled woodworker currently making a set of dining chairs and carving spoons. He does his own house and shop wiring and plumbing and stays busy fixing equipment. He recently refurbished a 1958 Feathcraft. Jayne is a master of the kitchen. She can whip up a feast with whatever we have fresh on the farm. Nobody goes hungry at Wabee Farm.

It was more than perfect staying at Wabee Farm. It was our first stay through Harvest Host; we could not ask for a better experience. During my husband and my stay, the host Tim introduced his uniqe hobby, Saffron Harvest, and we were there the exact time for the blooming! For us, it was like life time experience!!! We visit this area often to see our father; we hope to stay at Wabee farm many more times in our future visit! Oh and if you stay during warm weather, Tim’s Farm has outside shower, and It is a must try for the nature lovers!!! 🌳☀️

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Wabee. Tim was very welcoming when we arrived. This was an ideal location for us while visiting our son and his family in Hillsborough. The outdoor shower was an extra treat. We would love to visit another time.

Oh, what a beautiful little farm! Currently they are raising honeybees and figs. The owner allowed us to pick some figs to taste. This was a new exoerience to me! Very affordable hook up for electricity and water (we did not hookup the water). Wabee Farm is out in the country, very quiet and comfortable! Great place to stay and we would stay again!

this was our first experience with boondockers welcome and it was a gem. Tim and Jayne were wonderful and their farm a beautiful and peaceful setting. Tim offered us electric, water, and fire wood if we desired. We parked in the open field ajacent to the bee hives and were able to come away with some of the honey from the farm. Overall a great experience at a wonderful olace i cant recommend highly enough.
