Love to travel Details: I'm very independent. I am a proud veteran of the United states Army. I regularly stand flag lines and honor deceased veterans with the PGR and American Legion. I've rodeoed, farmed and had horses my entire life. I had a small farm in Idaho where I raised rare, mule footed hogs and Yaks. I also had horses, goats, chickens, etc. My health took a turn in 2010. I lost my husband in 2013. A year later I gained custody of my then, 3 year old granddaughter. I "gave up the farm", relocating to Utah near family. My granddaughter, now 8, lives with her aunt and uncle allowing me to travel for the first time in my life. Home Town: Murray, UT USA Favorite Boondocking Locations: Skills or Expertise to Share: I have vast knowledge about most animals (20+years Vet Tech) and farming, homesteading, etc.

We unfortunately didnt make it to the Crows Nest! On the way we lost our transmission!! Our host is a very graoperson that would have lent us her truck to continue our travels, until ours was fixed, unfortunately Christmas is in a week and the new transmission would be a week plus….. so we now have a new 2024 Christmas present! Thanks for all your help and support!

This site tucked away in thr Alleghany Highlands and is a beautiful place to stay. Host shares her wifi since she is in a no cell zone. We did a day trip to Shenandoah. Super gracious hostess. Parking was easy. Make sure you turn in and dont miss it. We had to drive a bit with our 35 foot rig since we missed the address on first pass.

The only way to get to this little piece of tranquility is through twisty mountain roads. It was a stunning trip in and out. The trees were exploding in reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, browns and greens. The host, Wendy couldn't have been more engaging and informative. She was always quick to respond to communications and super helpful. The pull through sights are just off the roadway (2 lane road) by about 30 feet. We had to unhook our toad due to our travel route the next day. (I was comfortable enough to make it and not end up in a ditch or unhooking the toad in the middle of the road. 2018 Fleetwood Bounder with a Jeep Gladiator. 66 feet total) Once we turned around and hooked up.... the road 311 South was STUNNING, EXHILARATING and BEAUTIFUL. Twisty, Curvy, Steep inclines, Steep declines, deer. If we make it up this way again, we will most definitely try to stay for a couple of days if possible. Thank you and Mahalo nui loa!

We were parked right off the road and most of the noise quited down by 10pm but started up again early morning. Slept ok. Host was very nice and accommodating, even offered up 15amp power but our surge protector said it was an open ground so opted to decline
