Retired and enjoying life Details: Dave is a retired plumber; and a beer, wine and good food aficionado, motorcycle enthusiast, antique motorcycle restorer. Cheryl runs a therapeutic massage studio, is an avid gardener, and artist. We both love music of many genres, enjoy a campfire, sharing a good story, and a good laugh. Home Town: Davidsonville, MD Favorite Boondocking Locations: Limited experience so far-PA, WV, MD, VA, NC, SC. Skills or Expertise to Share: Much wisdom mostly attained by experience, trial and error, and the school of hard knocks. We're fairly mechanical, but also know our limits; hence we are a good source of referrals. We also are a good resource for points of interest, good food, watering holes, and live music.

Upon arrival we were welcome by Madam Stuart who was helpful to give use some advice on what to see around and where we could have a stroll after a long day of road. We choose to go for a stroll in the Davidsonville park. Good choice, since we saw turtles, snakes, birds such as Cardinals, rabbits and flowers. After returning at the Withebeard’s Retreat, we enjoyed having some beers and the conversation with Madam Stuart. The night was very quiet and we slept well. We will remember this spot for the good reasons. We recommend it. Manon and Philippe

We enjoyed our stay at Whitebeard’s Retreat. It is located in a quiet rural area close to Annapolis area. The parking area was on pavement, level and had electric hook-up (if needed). Our hosts Cheryl and Dave greeted us upon arrival and were very gracious hosts. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

What a perfect place to spend a night. Cheryl and Dave are great hosts who shared lots of good info on where we should stay on our trip west. Super friendly and accommodating- hope to stay there again someday!

We were able to make a reservation at Whitebeard's Retreat about two hours before we arrived. We were warmly greeted by Cheryl and Dave and directed to a level spot to park for the night. They invited us to sit and chat. We enjoyed our time and learning about their travels and experiences. Perhaps we'll be traveling in this area again - and we certainly hope to be able to visit again.
