We are located in a residential neighborhood adjacent to the North Carolina Port in Wilmington. Most of the homes were built in the 1940s to accommodate those who were building the Liberty ships. There are stop lights which make for easy access in and out of the neighborhood. Suggested Local Attractions:We are 10 miles from Wrightsville Beach and 12 miles from Carolina Beach and about 18 miles from Fort Fisher and the North Carolina Aquarium. Historic downtown Wilmingron is 3 miles away. There are bike trails and walking trails throughout Wilmington. Carolina Beach State Park is 12 miles away where there is access to the Cape Fear River and plenty of trails to hike. Restaurants abound.

I could not have asked for more generous and hospitable hosts! Thank you so much for sharing your time, space, hearts, and sustenance with me. Not only was my stay a welcome calm from a hectic season of travel but the camaraderie I experienced here was second-to-none. I will forever remember my time with Wilmington Wanderers fondly and hope to visit with them again.

A fine place to stop for the night plus Don and Beverly invited us in for breakfast and conversation. What a treat! Thank you so much. Just after leaving a heavy rain started. T&S

Easy to find, easy to park, good conversation with the host. Close to the bike trail we rode. (Cross City)
