Update: Several of you have asked if we are still requesting everyone in the party be up to date with Covid vaccinations to stay here. We are, and appreciate your understanding. In case it's helpful here's a list of places it's available: https://www.maine.gov/covid19/vaccines/vaccination-sites Comes down to how lucky do you feel and we've known too many unlucky, thanks*** Down a quiet road, 3 miles off Rte. 1 between Bath and Wiscasset, in a woodsy scenic area. Note: GPS stops short of actual location. Call me before you come to get directions. Please be vaccinated, as we are! Our driveway is off a dirt/gravel road with a small hill downward to the driveway circle. It's easy to turn with a small trailer. There's a standard electric outlet available (and a hose if needed) $5 per night is appreciated if used. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leash to protect (and protect from) the local wildlife. Please scoop the poop. No loud music please, no nighttime generator, there aren't many neighbors but we don't want to inconvenience them. Bring bug spray! As throughout New England, there are ticks in the high grass/brush/woods, so avoid high grass and check yourself & dogs carefully when you come in. ***No smoking (anything), no fires, because of high fire risk*** You're welcome to use our picnic table, basketball hoop, and stretch your legs along our woods paths. Stores and restaurants are an easy 15-20 minutes' drive, and 30-45 minutes to a couple state parks and beaches. It's a quiet mellow setting, right in front of our house and surrounded by woods, and if we're there or have guests, we expect to be friendly but independent. Swimming: It's a short drive to the town swimming hole with portapotty/changing stall and picnic tables. Suggested Local Attractions include Reid State Park beach, Popham Beach, the indoor/outdoor Maine Maritime Museum, a Monkey C Monkey Do ropes course. The nearby Town of Bath has an off-leash dog park next to the Maritime Museum, great restaurants/takeout, local groceries, art shops, and a library with free wifi. A number of local businesses like ice cream, lobster rolls, etc are seasonal so call before you go!

Location
Access Road Conditions: We're a couple miles off the highway, and our driveway is a gravel (dirt) road- 15mph limit please. There are a few bumps and may be low-hanging branches above 12'. The driveway has a turnaround circle that can easily accommodate a teardrop trailer or small RV. I'm not that familiar with bigger vehicles, a recent visitor suggested a 25' max limit. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Parking space available in the driveway. It's OK to park in front of the garage, just leave room for the trash cans.

The NICEST host. Stayed in late January. Weather was snow and rain. Great place. At the end of a long road. I would come back in a minute. Thank you!

We had a great time staying here and were especially impressed with our communication and interaction with the host. It was lovely to have a safe and beautiful place to stay while we were exploring the area, and it was a great surprise that our host was so friendly and helpful. Site was easy to access and flat (we didn't even need to level). Would love to visit again someday!
