Retired Chevy Dealer Details: I am a retired Chevrolet Dealer and my wife Sally is a retired educator. We enjoy Road Trek'ing the entire country visiting family, friends and former shipmates. Our Black River Falls home is actually located about 1 mile off I-94, out of town on highways 12 & 27 north. We have 31/2 acres of heavy forest which comes with lots of privacy and tranquility and an occasional deer walk through. It great for sitting around the fire-ring anytime of day. Home Town: Black River Falls, Wisconsin is located just off I-94 mile markers 115 and 116. Our population is about 5500 if you include the Town of Brockway, just across the river. Located just 3-4 miles east of town is the Ho-Chunk Casino on highway 54 east. Skyline Golf course (18 hole) is right adjacent to town and has a very nice and modern club house with bar, restaurant, and pro shop. BRF also has a very nice lighted runway airport about 2 miles south of town on hwy. 27. The Lunda Cummunity Center offers an indoor swimming pool, water park, physical fitness room, indoor walking track, Senior Center and much more. The community also has numerous churches represented. The Black River runs through Black River Falls and if you enjoy water skiing it is one of Wisconsin's best kept secrets. We do have multiple grocery stores including a Walmart, and a full service hospital, Black River Memorial Hospital. For the gun enthusiast. we have Moe Hardware, Moe's carries one of the largest inventory of firearms in the state of Wisconsin. Oh yes, Jackson county is considered the Deer Hunting Capital of Wisconsin (but NOT in town). Wazee Lake offers much for the scuba diver. Scuba rental equipment and training is always available at the Wazee Sports Center. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have enjoyed camping the entire northern section of the United States as well as southern Canada. Skills or Expertise to Share: As a former auto dealer I have some knowledge of mechanic's but make no promises. I enjoy woodworking thus have numerous power tools. Sally is an enthusiastic "quilter", just give her a sewing machine and she is very happy.

Follow Bob’s directions so not to miss the drive. There’s a big sign at the end of the road advertising firewood for sale. Look for that. We had plenty of space to park our 29th at Keystone cougar travel trailer. There is room to turn around. We joined Bob and Sally at the campfire for good conversation in the evening. Our sleep was quiet and comfortable. Easy to get out in the morning. Ask Bob about the RV dump nearby. It is super easy to find and to access. Helpful recommendation. Thank you for your hospitality.

Nice folks! Great communication about the route. Joined them at the firepit and shared stories. Look forward to visiting again. Flat spot, easy to turn around after we unhooked our towed.

Quiet, country treasure. A touch of fall color added to the charm. Hosts were welcoming and gracious. Great communications and directions. No turn around but host directed us in backing out. Hope to have a reason to come back.

Bob was great to help with backing out (can always tell a military guy…they know how to ground-guide!). parking on pretty level spot, well cleared under canopy of trees. got the 30 footer turned around pretty easily. very pleasant and restful night. not rushed to leave in am. would stay again!

Stayed on our trip to St Cloud to visit family. Hosts were great and built a nice bonfire to visit. Walked dog on the trail in the woods behind camp spot.
