Thank you for your interest in staying with us at Wanderer's Rest. Just one half hour from Kingman. We are a retired couple who love to travel ourselves. We moved from Minnesota in 2024 to wander and explore the beautiful and diverse Southwest area. We are within a day's drive from 14 National Parks and scores of National Recreation Areas, National Monuments and State Parks. The perfect base camp to stay and explore the area or a quick stop over on your way to your next adventure. We are located five miles south of the I-40 \ I-93S interchange and three miles east on Old 93 Highway. You will enjoy 360 degree mountain views of the Peacock, Hualapai (Wall-up-pie) and Aquarius Mountains and with the dark sky, the stars are amazing! We are 2.5 hours from the Grand Canyon South Rim, Quartzite or Phoenix. We are just two hours from Las Vegas. A short hour to 1-1\2 hour drive will bring you to Bullhead City\Laughlin casinos or Lake Mead Recreational Area, Lake Havasu City & the London Bridge. Or you can drive old Route 66 up the "Sidewinder" to Oatman, the mining town with their friendly donkeys, explore Chloride's petroglyphs and wall murals, Peach Spring's Diamond Creek Rd to drive to the bottom of the Grand Canyon or tour the Grand Canyon Caverns. Want more adventure? Try walking out 70' from the rim of the Grand Canyon on the Skywalk at the Grand Canyon West. Try ziplining, white water rafting, or exploring the mining & cultural exhibits. Closer to us (30 minutes) is Hualapai Mountain Park for gorgeous views, hiking, wildlife viewing and a good meal at the resort. Kingman is also 1/2 hour away, with many stores including Walmart. Explore the Route 66 museum and get your selfie at the drive thru Route 66 sign, shop for world famous Kingman turquoise at their downtown showroom on Beale Street or go to the mine store both are close by. There is a TA Petro Travel Center 13 miles away for gas, laundry, convenience store, and diner. We have a long 50 amp pull through with beautiful views of the mountains. Perfect spot to watch the sunrise with your cup of coffee. We also have a wide back-in spot that can accommodate 2 campers. The size is 48' long by 35' wide with one spot that has 30 amp service for an additional charge. We love sharing stories and learning of new areas to explore. We plan for more amenities coming soon to include a hiking trail to the highlands for wonderful views of the Hualapai Mountains and a small store. We look forward to meeting you.
