Located in the rural neighborhood of Picture Rocks 20 minutes from town, this 5-acre desert property is a short walk to the Tucson Mountain foothills in Saguaro National Park. You’ll enjoy hiking, stargazing, and watching magnificent sunsets and sunrises from here. We are IN the desert! I offer a one hour beginner riding lesson for $50 on my rescued horse Mosaic. She requires 5 extra supplements for a severe health condition, so I definitely appreciate donations towards her care. As a retired teacher who’s lived here more than 40 years, guests thoroughly enjoy my two-hour tour of petroglyphs (both in and outside the park) and learning about the flora and fauna of our unique environment. They say they learn more with me than at the Desert Museum and park’s visitors’ center! That is $40 for one person and $65 for two. I also have some Native American jewelry and southwestern items for sale. On the morning of your arrival, please give me an ETA and let me know if your rig weighs over 12,000 pounds because you will need alternative directions due to weight restrictions in the park.
