Retreat Underwood is an evolving food forest. We offer 3 exclusive 'Wild Sites', for your boondocking experience. Self-contained campers only (septic and electricity are NOT available). Foxglove Gone Wild Escaping Grandad’s English garden Foxglove or digitalis purpurea, now decorate the forest. Spears of pink perfusion reach through the underwood, inviting us to tip our faces to the sky and admire the trees. This Wild Site is located at the top right of the property. It is the smallest site we have, and is closest to the public road. From here you can join the Loop trail at the top of the driveway. Little Apple - don't come hungry! Named for the little volunteer apple tree at the site entrance. This little survivor has only ever produced one apple! It reminds us to persevere, the little one deserves to thrive, and a beautiful home can be found amongst those different from us. This site is the only one on the left side of the driveway. It is long, and if you were travelling with friends or family it could be shared by two small to medium RV units . It backs directly onto our loop trail. Momma Maple This site has two massive maple trees watching over it. These trees were left untouched the last time the property was logged. They shelter our memories, birds, squirrels and children. True Canadian beauties. The last site on the right, it is almost, but not quite opposite Little Apple. It has a round shape. Maple has it’s own trail to the Loop trail.
