We have a 12 ac parcel of raw land near Merritt, BC on a salmon running stream which lots of local wildlife enjoy; Deer, eagles, osprey, hummingbirds and an occasional black bear when salmon are running. Weather is warm and dry throughout the summer with winters being crisp and cold. We are just a couple of hours from the prime Okanagan fruit and wine regions and tours. Our property is an historic creek bed so we have zero topsoil but are working hard to create some planting zones using dead tree trunks and bringing in mushroom manure. When/if using the electric hookup we ask for a donation of a small plant suitable for zone 4 rather than anything monetary. Suggested Local Attractions:Salmon hatchery within walking distance.
