About
Snug Harbor is a privately owned Marina, RV & camping resort located on historic Steamboat Slough in the “historic region” of the Sacramento-San Joaquin California Delta. People started camping on this land in the 1870’s and it was officially surveryed and land grant recorded 1876 to the Blake family. By the early 1930s the island was connected to Ryer Island to make it a peninsula and easier to reach, and it became an official campground by the late 1930’s, according to some families who have come back to visit. By the 1980’s the park also added a covered berth marina. Starting in 1997 under new ownership the RV park was completely upgraded with new 50 AMP pedastals, engineered septic systems, new deep drinking water well and other services.
