About
We live on a quiet street in South West Fort Collins with immediate access to the Foothills. Spring Canyon Park and Pineridge Natural Area and the Spring Creek Trail are across the street. We have easy access to many miles of hiking and mountain biking trails from our doorstep as well as the Spring Creek Trail, a beautiful paved trail system that connects with paths to Old Town and other destinations. We are 15 minutes from Horsetooth Reservoir, Horsetooth Mountain Park, and Lory State Park. These parks offer epic hiking, biking, and water recreation options. We also are sandwiched between Thompson Canyon (an hour drive up the beautiful canyon to Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park) and Poudre Canyon, with legendary camping, hiking, biking, climbing, and rafting, and winter sports options. Poudre Canyon is our playground! The Mishewauka Apmitheatre, our favorite music venue (a natural amphitheater on the Poudre River with trails and camping nearby) is a 45 minute drive. Old Town Fort Collins is not to miss with its special places to shop, hear some live music with dozens of venues and music events (check out FocoMX in April), tube or kayak the Poudre River, eat, or visit our plethora of breweries or distilleries.

HOST
We’re John and Heidi from Fort Collins, Colorado, where we have been living and adventuring for years. John’s a green energy home inspector, and I am a school-based mental health specialist. Our 3 kids are in college, so we have plenty of freedom to explore in our Promaster van that John beautifully built out. We love to adventure and “vamp” throughout Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, Taos, Moab, The Upper Pennisula of Michigan…wherever the mountain bike trails are flowing, the aspens are glowing , and the snow is dumping for some epic downhill or backcountry skiing. Hitting a brewery, hot springs, or live music after a great day on the trails makes for the perfect adventure. We have lots of beautiful trails to run, hike, and ride from our doorstep, with Horsetooth Resevoir and two mountain parks nearby, as well as mikes of walking/biking trails to Old Town Fort Collins. The Poudre Canyon is out 4-season playground. with beautiful wildflower hikes and mountain bike rides, camping on the Poudre River, backcountry skiing and backpacking trails, and our favorite music venue- The Mishewaka Ampitheater.
