We are conveniently located on Old Route 66 off Interstate 55 at exit 37 in Livingston IL. We are 30 minutes north of St Louis, MO, and 1 hour south of Springfield IL. The Pink Elephant is a 30,000 SQFT antique mall inside the old Livingston High School. The Pink Elephant is where historical, whimsical, quirky, and kitschy collide on Old Route 66. Two other shops are located at The Pink Elephant both done in 1950s theme—the Twistee Treat diner inside a giant ice cream cone and The Mother Road Fudge and Candy Store. During October The Area 66 Haunted School, a scare attraction haunted house, operates on the weekends in the oldest part of the school. The Pink Elephant is a must-stop for Route 66 travelers and I55 travelers alike. There are a ton of photo opportunities: giant statues from the past, a muffler man, a beach guy, a T-Rex, a 1968 Futuro UFO house, the Pink Elephant, and more. The Pink Elephant hosts events throughout the year: outdoor vendor fair, UFO Alien Festival, Car Cruise-Ins, and Kids and Adult Easter Egg Hunt. The Pink Elephant has a large outdoor stage for bands to play at during our outdoor events.
