Howard School is a beautiful, one room, brick schoolhouse that sits in its original, rural location as it did in 1881. It served the educational and gathering needs of the local community. On its eastern boundary is the historical Howard Cemetery, with burials dating back to the 1830s. We offer our parking lot as a quiet, rural spot to enjoy your evening and will gladly accept a $30 donation to help support the school. Please note that you'll have to be able turn around in the 66’x77’ lot or back in from the street. If you want to stay more than 1 day or have 1+ smaller rigs and HH says it is full, message us at howardschoolhouse@gmail.com and we'll see if we can accommodate you. Generators and pets are fine. Howard School doesn't have regular hours but if you notify us ahead of time, and if one of our volunteers is available, we'd be happy to give you a tour of the school and share a few stories!
