We are Holdfast Farmstead! Located in hilly rural southern Iowa our focus is to regenerate soil, community, and personal health while re-connecting to things that matter most. Our farmstead is 50+ acres of a combination of rolling pastures and timber, with multiple ponds and trails that meander about the property. The farm is also home to a large herd of Kiko goats, expansive garden, orchard, free range ducks and chickens, Great Pyrenees dogs and a few cats. Come enjoy the quiet of rural living. Walk about the property. Try your hand at fishing in the ponds (bring your own gear). Wander through the gardens. And absolutely take in the stars on a clear night. They are phenomenal! And if come through in spring, there may be a hundred or so baby goats to visit as well. Farmstore coming in June/July 2024!

Your membership includes an overnight stay at a Host. Extra nights are available at the Host's discretion.

Enter the property from the first driveway. Park on the east side of the 5 car garage, roughly in line with the silo (the ground to the north is hay ground and we prefer to keep vehicles off this ground).

We are a working farm and rotationally graze our animals. This means pasture arrangements are always shifting as well as electric fencing! We love to give tours and allow access to the farm. But it is important we discuss how it works in person beforehand. This means do not go through any gates before talking with us first. (NOTE - there are no gates to drive onto the property and park).

Our on site farm store will open June/July 2024. We will sell farm fresh chicken and duck eggs, limited in season produce, our popular freeze dried greens powder, tallow soaps and lotions, as well as local honey and locally milled organic flour.
