About
Where the whistle of yesteryear's locomotives still echoes through time, RV camping enthusiasts are invited to park their homes-on-wheels at a site steeped in the grandeur of railroading history. Step into a world where the romance of the railroad paints a picturesque backdrop to your stay, and every day unfolds as an exploration of our region's vibrant train heritage. Roll in with your RV and set up camp against the backdrop of an authentic national landmark that celebrates the era of the iron horse. Here, interactive exhibits invite you to reach out and touch the relics of a bygone era, offering a unique tactile connection to the past. The sounds of steam engines and chattering tracks provide an immersive auditory experience that transports you to the golden age of rail travel. Arrive before the hands of the clock mark 4pm CST to ensure a seamless check-in with a gracious staff member awaiting to welcome you into this historic fold. Due to the importance of preserving the integrity and experience at this location, late arrivals cannot be accommodated, ensuring all guests enjoy the full breadth of what this captivating site has to offer. Prepare for an RV camping trip that's more than just a space to park; it's a journey through history, an adventure in learning, and a unique overnight stay where the spirit of the locomotive reigns supreme. The perfect coupling of adventure and education awaits around every bend of the track.
