About
We have 40 acres available for camping. Beautiful wooded spots or open field. Depending on ground conditions there are unlimited options of places to set up camp. We can direct to our favorites and bring you a fire ring once you choose. For larger rigs or during wet weather conditions, there is also room on gravel pad near our home. Suggested Local Attractions:We have trails to wander through woods, we are 35 minutes from Frankenmuth or Birch Run Outlets, 35 minutes from the St. Clair River or Lake Huron and approximately 45 minutes to Flint.

Self employed empty nesters Details: We have been self employed for over 20 years operating a software development company while we raised and home schooled our 4 children. For the last several years we have also operated a firearms range, specializing in safety and personal defense. We have 2 grandchildren that currently live in CA and 1 on the way here in Michigan. Our youngest child is a sophomore at Cedarville University in Ohio. After 25 years of travel soccer, karate tournaments and competitive dance, we are learning to enjoy a little freedom as empty nesters. Home Town: We live in a very rural area in mid Michigan, about 1 hour west of the Canadian border of Port Huron/Sarnia. We built our home here 26 years ago on 20 acres. Dean's parents have an additional 20 acres right next door. We have had horses and chickens in the past but enjoy traveling more now whenever our business allows. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have only done one big boondocking trip and that was this past Fall. We loved traveling to the Badlands of South Dakota (BLM lands)as we quarantined our way to visit Grandchildren in Southern California. Our very favorite spot of the whole trip though was right here in our home state of Michigan's upper peninsula exploring the many waterfalls, staying in State and National Forest areas. Skills or Expertise to Share: Dean is a highly trained firearms instructor. Anyone visiting our property is welcome to arrange training time if interested. Dianne homeschooled her 4 children and has been busy during this crazy year offering guidance to the parents that have been pushed into it due to covid.

Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions: We are 1 mile down a dirt road. The driveway is a hill but we have never had a problem with trailers or rvs. Semi trucks don't use our driveway. There is ample room to turn around large rigs as long as the ground is dry or frozen. After a lot of rain, parking will be more restricted. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: As long as the ground isn't wet or snow covered, there is parking next to the rig.
