About
Experience the adventure of a lifetime with a touch of rustic charm at this long-standing family oasis, a mere paddle stroke away from memories that last. Amidst the whispers of nature and the tranquil flow of river waters, our 68-year-old establishment invites you to indulge in the timeless joy of paddling as you embark on an RV camping adventure like no other. As third-generation caretakers of this riverside retreat, we are proud to offer more than just a spot to anchor your RV. Here, under a canopy of open skies, you have the rare opportunity to spend your days in the company of not just your fellow campers but our beloved farm animals as well. Our feathery chickens, quacking ducks, busy honeybees, playful kittens, loyal dogs, and the laughter of kids playing set the backdrop for an outdoor experience that's far richer than the sum of its parts. With your home on wheels parked within view of the serene canoe launch, you'll find yourself perfectly positioned to grab a paddle and drift along the gentle currents at a moment's notice. Whether you're an eager beginner or a seasoned kayaker, our fleet awaits to carry you on a journey through waters less traveled, wrapped in the warmth of a family's passion for outdoor living and the simple pleasures of camping. In the evening, gather round the campfire to share stories and s'mores under a blanket of stars. And when the morning comes, fuel your next day's adventures with fresh honey from our hives and a greeting from the sunlit field that doubles as our cherished camping ground. For a slice of this idyllic outdoor lifestyle, a seamless blend of RV camping, paddling paradise, farmyard delights, and kindred spirits, simply reach out to the numbers provided and become part of our extended family, even if just for a short while. Call 815-545-4739 or 815-545-4684 to reserve your escape to a place where the heart beats in time with the great outdoors.

They are always welcome to rent a canoe or kayak and come out and enjoy the peacefulness of the Huron river. We are visited by Sandhill cranes, swans, ducks, all kinds of turtles, deer, wild turkeys, turkey vultures, chipmunks, squirrels, muskrats, otters, and others. The river is a slow-moving, calm, shallow river. This makes it an excellent river to learn how to canoe or kayak. We are surrounded by state park and the tall pines and wildflowers make for a restful backdrop.
