About
We're located 4 miles from I-69, 7 miles from I-94, and 9 miles from Port Huron in a very safe, peaceful and secluded 13 acre setting. Our gravel site is appx. 600' off the road and 200' from our home where we offer water and 30amp electric. Our site is adjacent to the woods with a large lawn and pathway through our pollinator field. We are 10 minutes from grocery stores, and 15 minutes away from the beaches and cities of Port Huron and Marysville. Detroit is a one hour drive from our location. Pine River nature center and the Wadhams Avoca trail are both within a 10 minute drive and offer miles of hiking and biking. Please be aware we are beekeepers and although our apiaries are a safe distance from the site, honey bee stings, although rare, can occur. If you have an allergy to bee stings, please make sure to have your Epi-pen with you. Suggested Local Attractions: Lake Huron and St. Clair River beaches are 15-20 minutes away as well as the Blue Water Bridge to Canada where you can view the Great Lakes freighters. Grocery stores and restaurants are also 15 minutes away as well as a full service camping store and truck wash. There are also two year round dump stations available, one 7 miles to the East and one 10 miles to the West of us, both within a minute of the expressway. We can accommodate larger size motorhomes, however travel trailer and 5th wheel length cannot exceed 35'.

We are "young" retirees with a love of travel and RV'ing. Our adventures have taken us to many national parks and monuments across the USA. In addition, we have travelled to Europe many times, visiting friends and their families. Each winter we take our travel trailer from blustery southeast Michigan to Florida or the Alabama gulf coast. We enjoy the outdoors and meeting other folks who share a love of RV'ing and travel. We've hosted several high school foreign exchange students from Germany, Denmark and Switzerland. Our grown daughter lives in Denver and is embarking on a career as a dentist. Our hobbies outside of traveling include beekeeping, which we're always eager to share with others, and growing Hosta plants, of which we have over 120 different types. My wife's father lives with us and loves to talk about the military and muscle cars having been affiliated with both for many years. Home Town: Our hometown is Smiths Creek, Michigan. We enjoy our wooded property and the relative peace and solitude it offers. Summers are often spent kayaking along the beautiful Lake Huron shoreline not far from our home, or taking short camping trips to locations within our scenic state. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We've only stayed at a couple boondocker locations and have enjoyed both equally. Skills or Expertise to Share: We are both retired professionals whose hobbies include shade gardening, beekeeping, home improvement projects, reading great non-fiction books, raising monarch butterflies, hiking, nature photography and snorkeling.

House Rules
Dogs must be on leash, please clean up after your pet. NOTE: No Pittbulls, Pittbull mixes or aggressive dogs of any kind. If we cannot approach your dog, we consider it aggressive and unfortunately we cannot host you. We have a small 5 pound dog and have concerns for her safety. We also have a 9 year old Golden Retriever. Both dogs are very friendly, not leashed and roam the property. Please no loud noise, respect our neighbors. Children must be supervised and stay away from outbuildings and the apiaries. Please leave the site the way you found it.
Parking & Arrival
We're on a paved lightly traveled country road. Driveway approach is slightly oversize and can accommodate any size rig. Note: If approaching from the North, swing wide into the opposite lane to enter the driveway. Our driveway goes through the woods and branches are cut back to allow for up to 13' clearance with the driveway wide enough to allow any size rig to easily get through. Tow vehicles can stay hooked up, or disconnected and parked next to RV.
