homesteaders Details: We live on a working Goat farm. We raise Boer registered goats and sell them to 4H and FFA kids as well as other homesteaders. We have large guardian dogs who watch over the goat herds. We also raise meat chickens called Cornish Cross (like Tyson) and sell the processed whole chickens to local costumers. This is our first year to raise feeder pigs and it has been an experience. We also have laying hens and sell our Farm Fresh Eggs to local vendors. We raise a large garden and process most of the produce. The Orchard gave us an abundance of pears and apples this year so those were canned also. We do travel from time to time and enjoy seeing and exploring new places. We are both retired since 2016 and moved from the City and began our little hobby farm.
