About
WINTER SPECIFIC STAYS Due to snow conditions, when we have accumulation, travel trailers or "toads" will be declined. All wheel or 4x4 vehicles will only be permitted. Our plowing capabilities are limited and getting stuck is no one's idea of a good time. The driveway is plowed however, is still narrow with plenty of potential to get sucked into the ditch. A single gravel pad on a private twenty acre parcel near lakes (Murphy, Dickie, Martin, Koocanusa, Sophie, Tetrault, Therriault, Glen), rivers (Tobacco, Kootenai) and mountains all around. Kootenai National Forest just minutes away. A short three miles from HWY 93 and services like restaurants, fuel and entertainment. In addition to the RV pad, there is an area for tents, a fire pit, picnic table and dog run (doodie bags provided). Ask about our farm fresh eggs by the half dozen and select seasonal produce from the garden. There is no toilet facility at the campsite so guests should expect to bring their own. A Word About Size Limitations Measurements of the RV pad are 9' wide at the back of the space, 13' wide at the front of the space and overall length is 28'. Being it is a fairly narrow pad, use good judgement for opening slides. The driveway access to the site is about 300' from the gate opening with a fair portion being narrowed by trees to either side. Potential guests towing a camper should know that while we've had a handful of guests with small setups successfully navigate to the spot, at least as many have been turned away as the driveway and gate opening are narrow and there isn't sufficient area for maneuvering long setups. We have a limit on the size of rig we can accommodate that should read to include not just the size of the camper/RV but also the towing vehicle or the towed vehicle. Don't let that discourage you from sending over a request though if you are unsure if your setup will fit. We'll take a look at your setup on your profile and can gauge very well if you'll be able to make the turns. A word about pets. Because we are in Montana and enjoy some wide open spaces, wildlife abound! While deer, eagles and prairie dogs are most commonly seen, elk, turkey, geese, bear, coyote, fox and badger are also visitors. Our doggos can be a threat to some of these and at least half can be a threat to your doggo. This is why we strongly ask that pets remain leashed unless inside the fenced area.
